Evening potters!
Gosh, what a lot goes on when you're out of circulation for a few days! I have been reading everyone's posts, and hope all the smokers are shamed/nagged/forced into quitting the horrible weed for the good of themselves and all around them!!
Well done on the weight loss luckycharlie, I'm treading water myself and going nowhere either way, must get a grip as it'll be time to bare for the "summer" before we know it!!
Enjoy this lovely time with Thomas, nickyj, I remember just how lovely it was to hide away with my newborns for a few weeks (had to as we lived in the middle of nowhere at the time and I couldn't drive after c-sections, but I truly did enjoy not having to be anywhere except with my babies!)
Hope you had a fab holiday, sparky! Tell us all about it!
Got very techie with it last night and held a virtual B*dy Sh*p party on FB, which was a bit scary but ended up being great fun! Amazing what you can accomplish sitting around in your PJs on a Tuesday evening! So the commission can go straight in the pot, yay!
Money-wise, I have to report just a few forlorn pence this week from down the side of the sofa plus 5p supermarket-carpark-kill this afternoon... though I have just realised that I am doing well in other ways as the supermarket stamp card is up to 30 quid already and it's only the end of February. That'll make for a good festive shop when the time comes! Otherwise, enforced NSDs as I am totally skint this month, so I am being good!
Have a lovely evening one and all, will check in again anonSPC No. 104 (oh no I've lost my magic 2000!)

I have to say I would keep them all and count all together in Nov. but I know some people don't like having money sitting around the house unnecessarily. But I like the 'excitement' of a surprise.
Sorry to hear about your boy oldhat60 hope he's doing ok.
Well done on the savings mossy.

Evening all, hope everyone is ok. Just popping in to report another £1.10p in the piggy.
I have been so busy the last week or so and hardly had a moment to catch-up, so apologies.

Putting £3.61 in the pot, as that's what's left over in my purse before payday tomorrow (finally!)
Saved some pennies as I didn't walk home. Dad picked me up from work because my Great-Aunt died today so my Mum wanted me to go back to my parent's house so she could tell meI feel so numb and upset, we were close...she was more like a Grandmother figure to me really

Morning everyone
I'm back, it's taken a few days to get over the jet lag but it was really worth it! We had a brilliant time, Chicago is an amazing city, the glass platform on the Willis (sears) Tower is an experience, (I only went on it because the 3 year old girl in front of me went on and I didn't want to look like a chicken!). The John Hancock Tower overlooking Lake Michigan is also an awseome place we done the sun & stars tour and had cocktails on the 93rd floor! The untouchables gangster tour was great fun. The temperature ranged between -8 to -18. If anyone is thinking of visiting Chicago, don't hesitate and if you want someone to carry your bages, I'm available.
New York was just as fantastic and we can't wait to gwet back there next January! Enough said!
Congratulations on our newest baby in the SPC fold
