Eh? Shouldn't they take you out in celebration for having such an amazing daughter? Or is it just me that thinks that? :rotfl:

They should but they are retired and i work. I chose an expensive place to go too so it wouldn't have been fair. As it happens they gave me £50 birthday money and mum was going to pay for dinner but i convinced her to get me pay with the birthday money she gave me since i still have christmas money let and it was a lovely night. So technically mum paid but without me feeling guilty :) It was gone midnight when we got home

What's up with you then, Ruth, unusual for you to lack enthusiasm. BTW, that which I told you about the other day, gave me terrible indigestion, so I wouldn't bother.

Just fed up with trying to work out what i'm doing about a car i think. I thought i'd messaged you but apparently not. All the reviews i read were all really bad. I couldn't find a good one so i decided not to try. I hope the indigestion didn't last too long. I suffer with indigestion/acid reflux really bad already so i'm gad i didn't try now
One of my little darlings told the Father as we were walking out of Church today "Me and my Nan will be here every Sunday" He looked very impressed especially as I don't belong to his Church :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Still I enjoyed spending the time with him and as he informed me during the service" we might as well make the most of it cos you are getting old now Nan!!"

Funny he didn't think I was old when he was chasing me round the park throwing snowballs at me :rotfl::rotfl:

Sorry to hear about your bad news and possible impending bad news **hugs** At least you have your GC to keep you happy... although i'm sure the old comment wasn't the best thing to make you smile :rotfl:

THANK YOU! to everyone for my birthday wishes. And happy 21st to PandaBear10 :)

I potted a little today. I need to sort out what money i need for what and then i'll hopefully be potting more. Ive put £80 in my car in the last week (in diesel) hunting for a car is going to work out more expensive than actually buying one at this rate.....

Welcome to all you new starters :) **hugs** to all that need them

Sorry not posted for a while had quite a lot on my mind. Had a family loss last week so have been preoccupied :(

Will have a look in my purse this afternoon to see what lose change I have from last week and add to pot.

I'm so sorry to hear that blondy24 :( Hugs to you too x

Bah, unless I manage to find any roadkill I don't see myself being able to pot anything until after payday. This is going to be an incredibly tight 10 days coming up.
We've needed car repairs, including brake cylinders, which were being done on Saturday, but there were complications. The old brake cylinder was kinda rusted on and got broken while being removed, and the new one should have been the right one...but wasn't. So currently you can put your foot to the floor on the brake and it'll only brake a tiny bit, so you have to use engine braking.
It's all money we didn't expect to have to spend. I'm making OH work from home for two days as he isn't driving the car in that state, (had a big argument with him about it), and I'll probably have to wake up at an unearthly hour tomorrow to get to work myself.
It looks like food shopping for the next week and a half is going on the credit card and I'm gonna be walking everywhere. :(

Oh dear I'm so sorry to read of your bad news LC2 and blondy24 :( It's that horrid time of year isn't it.

I haven't done much lately so not much to pot except about £1.50, change from snacks on the way back from Mum's yesterday. OH met me in London on the way back so that was lovely :)

Ruth good luck with your search for a car - for what it's worth I love my Citroen C1 but I can see she wouldn't be to everyone's taste :D

Happy Monday everyone, onwards and upwards, keep potting!

I LOVE ugly cars :D (that's a compliment honest). I'm looking for a Peuge0t 206 GTi but i am very picky...... for example, if the car is red then it HAS to have silver surround for the break light. If its blue i would like it to be silver but its not too bad if they're red. Under no circumstances will i buy a silver car, black is a very last resort colour oh and it HAS to be diesel....... my poor dad is trying to help me look but i just have too many criteria for him to remember...... in short, there is 1 on the whole of the internet but the man lied to my dad about the price he would give for mine so mum said i shouldn't buy it out of principle........

    rant over :)
