Morning everyone!
I've just been out to feed the neighbour's cat and it's freezing cold but I think it will be lovely & sunny again later :cool2: OH driving himself to work again so I have the whole day to myself. A bit of ironing to stave off the feelings of guilt :A then perhaps some crafting
Just 20p to pot, I'm afraid, as it's a very lean month but no matter...
A belated "Happy Birthday" to all the people who've had them recently (must try to keep up with the thread...) and hope all the poorly ones are feeling much better. I came back yesterday to a message on my answerphone....a little voice (5 yr old GS) saying " Nanna I was SICK last night....love you loads mwah....mwah....mwah...(kisses!) speak to you later" Don't I just LOVE him
Happy Sunday everyone xSealed Pot Challenge #012

A belated Welcome to you....I hope you really enjoy being here and that your Pot exceeds all your wildest dreams...Hi,
Better late than never. Can I join the sealed pot challenge please?
Of course you can join!! Our Wonderful Leader Sue will be along soon to give you your very own Number....and then if you can put that in your Signature it would be very helpful to our lovely Sparky who counts up at the end of the Year....
Then all you need to do is find a good Sealed Pot to use and away you go...You can put in either bronze, silver or gold or even paper....whatever you can spare....(just be sure to read the rules on page 1 so you know what's allowed)....
We are really friendly so do come back and tell us how you're getting along...Join in the banter and don't be scared by how many of us there are - We really ARE the friendliest Thread in all of the MSE Kingdom...
I might be putting some more in the Pot later on...Not sure at the moment....but I should be back later xxx0 -
Better late than never indeed, Minniemee. A very warm welcome to you.
Have fun saving and enjoy the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 5 of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge.
Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away.
*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.
I reckon you also qualify for a gold star, Helen, with that lovely welcome. :staradminHappybeingme wrote: »Not doing too well with potting at the moment but I figure every £1 I do will still help at the end of the year? Hoping things will improve March or April, but I just haven't been getting cash out ~ money is a little muddled here at the moment
You figure absolutely right, Happybeingme! There's still plenty of time yet to save, it's not a race remember, and no one gets a prize for the most. It's still really wonderful to see folk thrilled to bits with £40 - £100 as it's true.....that even that really does help out at such a time. Try to sort your money out and budget as much as possible as that's obviously most important - then pot every little bit possible. Most of all, be happy and be proud to be a saver, you are even if it's not too much! :grinheart
Hi Lynsey, no, we've never had anyone put a photo of the savings on, though I can imagine your excitement at the thought. All I'd ask is for you to think about that, as if everyone did it, we could end up with huge problems for sparky and myself. :undecided
Awww bless him, little_sweetie, isn't it great how they love to share ~ no matter what the subject is! :rotfl:I've got an image of you crafting with all your necessary bits'n bobs around you, have a lovely time!
Have a really lovely day, folks. :grinheartSue x

Can't beat grandchildren can you? One of my little darlings told the Father as we were walking out of Church today "Me and my Nan will be here every Sunday" He looked very impressed especially as I don't belong to his Church :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Still I enjoyed spending the time with him and as he informed me during the service" we might as well make the most of it cos you are getting old now Nan!!"
Funny he didn't think I was old when he was chasing me round the park throwing snowballs at me :rotfl::rotfl:
Thank you Sue for my star I will polish it lovingly.
Well the bad news we were expecting happened so we have a funeral on Monday looks like we will have another before February is out.
Hurry up March!!
On a happier note potted £5
Yesterday all the family visited but not in one go. Just seem to clear up, bake some cakes then the next family arrived all unannounced. So today we thought as everyone visited yesterday we would be visitor free made a lovely cheese quiche and some nice jam tarts well I suppose they were nice the kids said they were :rotfl::rotfl:Now my DS2 has just phoned to say he will pop down tonight with his wife and my GS his partner and my darling GGS . Better start baking again. Still wouldn't be without them.

Thank you Sue-UU ~ this was really inspirational to me. I've redone my budget and will be getting cash out once a week only for shopping ~ this way I can keep an eye on what I'm spending and will hopefully have change for potting....then I went to Mr S to get a few needed bits and potted £3 ~ I'm feeling much happier now!0
