having a down day... so cheered myself up by managing to get out all my coins from my terramundi pot without breaking it and adding it up before returning them.

It certainly did cheer me up only started Mid Jan and ....

Wow, well done! :D Sorry to hear you're having a down day *hugs*

 Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!!!

I didn't manage to put anything in my pot yesterday :( Today I missed the bus, so waited for my OH to pick me up which means I have £3.30 to put in the pot! :D

Still haven't found any roadkill though :(

Proud to say today was the first NSD I can remember. :D Instead of leaving work and walking round town at lunchtime I stayed in the staff room and chatted with people. It was nice in a way, but it won't be a permanent thing...I need fresh air and to get out of the workplace to break the day up more...but if it means I spend less money I'll consider just staying in the staff room more! :D

  • Evening potters, hope you have all had a lovely day, spoilt or otherwise (not in my house, you can bet your last penny on that lol). Though Miss Eve did give me a lovely card she'd made... when I asked if she'd done one for daddy too, her face was a picture... "ooh, I forgot"!! I think DH has forgiven her...

Sorry to hear about the chicken pox mossy, and hope little 'un feels better soon. Lots of hugs, distraction and calamine lotion work!

Best they have it young and get it over and done with; DS got it when he was one and gave it to DH who was 36 at the time and he got really ill. Fast forward a few years and I took DD round to her little chum who had it and then she got it 2 weeks later to the day! Chicken pox playdates were once all the rage (obviously didn't work on me as I didn't get it till I was 28! Hope I never go bald as I scratched my head something awful on the assumption that nobody would ever see the scars there!!)

Got the hump with myself this evening as scales went a pound the wrong way at WW.

Still, at least the pot is now 2 quid better off, so every cloud and all that... on the positive side, I got a set of premium make-up through the post today that I won in a magazine competition, yay! I never win anything, so that was a real treat, especially as it's the sort you need to take out a second mortgage to buy!!

Happy potting, stay warm and well, and hugs to those who are in need of one! ;)

20p found down the passenger seat of DH's car and then 5p found outside the chippy :D

Miss Lily proudly handed me a piece of paper folded in 2 that she had written 'To Mummy Love Lily' inside and informed me it was my valentines card (love her) then sat across from me and got more and more stern, 'whats up' I ask. 'Mummy, you didnt get ME a card, or some chocolates or a present for valentines day!' . . . she wasnt mollified when I offered her one of daddys chocolate hearts to make up for it either as 'I want my own chocoalte hearts mummy not 1 of daddys!' :o im sure I never had this grief when Jakes was little :rotfl:
