I was already saving my extra pennies so I'm starting this Challenge with exactly £8 in my HUGE Plastic Budweiser Bottle...And I don't have a Target as such but I'd like enough to pay for Christmas next Year...that would be great as I usually have to borrow Money for Christmas...
Thanks very much....
Welcome DreamerHelen

No water ingress for us in Sparky land we're fortunate enough to be on high ground. Our trusty leader Sue-uu will be along later to welcome you and give you your very own SPC member number which is yours for life (whether you like it or not! :rotfl:) You can then pop it on your signature where it can be polished and displayed proudly
All that is asked of you is that you read post #1 carefully so that you know what we are about, then pop in now and again to talk to us 'cos we all love[STRIKE] a gossip[/STRIKE] to hear all the news. Most of all enjoy saving and the motivation on this thread. They are a lovely bunch
Sue will talk to you soon. She's probably gone to bed with a headache she got from spending 2 whole days and more on here after pot opening day. Poor sparky our counter upper has probably done the same dreaming of £ signs and spreadsheets
Enjoy! x

I am looking forward to this years challenge and doing it properly from the very beginning.
I'm being very serious and have decided to put any money in my pot that I 'earn' from making an extra effort. Also I am going to pay myself to do DHs shirts because I hate that so much. So examples will be:
- VAT refund from shopping
- money saved by using coupons or special offers
- any earnings form selling stuff we own
- ironing (:D)
- cleaning our holiday home instead of paying the cleaner
I'm not yet sure whether to put aside the mone we earn from letting out our holiday home -it's not a regular let but we do let it out to friends and it can bring in a fair amount.
So. I still need to construct my pot - I am going to use and old pet food can as it's very big and I am optimistic, but I already have 125 CHF to put in as I spent all yesterday cleaning the cottage ready for christmas renters.Trying to keep in budget.
