A very warm welcome, ali**1, Missy1984 and iwilldoitthistime, it's lovely to have you with us.
Enjoy yourself saving and join in the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 5 of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge.
Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! Same applies to popping your SPC Nos on.
*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it helps so very much.Lindylou68 wrote: »I was very excited to see I was number 2000, with such a cool number I will not let you regulars down!! :j
No one lets us down, Lindylou! We all do our best and so long as you do that, it'll be great. BTW, you too are a regular now! Also, I've updated your £200 Target now!

The BHF is a wonderful organisation, mossy, well done you in volunteering!! :T BTW, the rest of that conversation (above) I haven't a clue what you're babbling on about..pill???..not everyone all the time?? your fat?? Confusion reigns!
Brilliant saving, JAMIEDODGER!!!iwilldoitthistime wrote: »I will try to put the money I would have spent on lunch at work in when I take in a pack up lunch instead (as well as anything else I find lying around!)
do I have to keep a running total, or can it be a suprise come November?
No, iwilldoitthistime, you don't need to keep a running total, most of us prefer the surprise element. To the highlighted part, you'll save a fortune on saving lunch money!!!! :jAnyway you can save like that will bring hugs dividends! BTW, I love your penguin, he's gorgeous!Mini_Zoo wrote:It doesn't feel as cold this morning but we are forecast for a lot more snow this afternoon and over night.
I got one of Sue's special stars but can't work out how to include it in my signature. Can anyone help please?
It always warms up a tad when the snow finally comes, Mini Zoo, and BTW, you put the star on in the same way as your SPC No..."Edit sig" from the "Quick Links" on the lower green bar.
Fingers crossed for your 2 littlies tonight, Wyre, I hope it's all ok for them.
Hiya sparky!! Good to see you...just 4 weeks left eh!!!!! :j:j You & J'll have a splendid time! BTW, who doesn't take a look at the new 1st post each year, then??!It always differs a bit and some even relates to YOU!!!
*So when does the flippin lottery go up then, sparks??First I've heard of it. Whatever next will they put up......we'll all be ruddy poorpers soon!!! Well, if it is going up, that's it, T & I will be saving ours instead too!

Ah, so here's the answer then, Modesty! They ARE going to up the stakes! How mean could they get - so it's only the rich that get chance to get RICHER then!!!!!! Am I livid? YES!!!!!
Hi there, Helen!! Good to hear you sounding so chipper again, that's our Helen! :T Never let anything get you down for too long, it's just never worth it! Well done with that pot, but don't forget - if you need a 'holding pot' have one! See 1st post if you're unsure.Happybeingme wrote:I have a query ~ I'm trying to think of as many ways of 'potting' as much money as possible (December is always a really tough month for me as 2 of my children have birthdays just before Christmas). Littlest one usually has school dinners 4 times a week which costs £9.20. When it's half term and holidays can I put this money into my pot?
Of course you can, Happybeingme, it's still savings! Have a look at the 1st post for ideas, and if you have anything you can sell on E-B*y - do so and save that too! Any tiny bits of cash saved all adds up so save in every which way!! :j I hope your little treasure is soon well, a cuddle for me please! :A
How right you were with your thoughts, Wyre!Makes 2 of us at least!!! :rotfl:
Oi skilly! That ain't fair, cos like as not, if you'd let your snow pass on by we might have got more!:rotfl: Our dog hates it and has been cuddled up by the heater since we got back. Good going with the £5er!
Have a good day, everyone, but do be careful and stay warm!Sue x

First I've heard of it. Whatever next will they put up......we'll all be ruddy poorpers soon!!! Well, if it is going up, that's it, T & I will be saving ours instead too!
The changes we’re planning to make include:
bigger prizes for matching three numbers – the prize for matching three numbers will more than double, from £10* to £25*
bigger Jackpots – the average Saturday Jackpot is expected to be around £5 million and Wednesday’s Jackpot will be around £2.5 million
a new Lotto raffle – at least 50 winners will scoop a guaranteed £20,000 in each Lotto draw, with hundreds more winners created on Rollovers
As a result of these exciting changes, the cost of a Lotto line will increase to £2 – the first rise since the game launched in 1994.
£2.58 into the pot today. We have so much snow here. Stay safe everyone xSealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4

Good day everyone,
Been AWOL for the past couple of days - holed up at home with a horrible flu. On the mend again :T!
The good news is that I am now officially off the cigs , although I do have an electronic one to get me through the cravings. I plan to put the money I would have spent on the cigs into my pot.
A very belated birthday wish to Miss Lily:bdaycake: I hope she had a great day.
Also, welcome to all the newbies and happy saving.
I love the snow so I am looking forward to the weekend. Bit of a novelty for me, coming from S. Africa where we never see the stuff!

Oh dear, Rosy, make up for the cash shortage by the views outside. I know it's a while to go without cash, but at least you won't be overspending!!!
Sorry, best I could do. x

Thanks so much for supplying all the info, Ruth, though I'm afraid I'd see that as a bit of a scam to craftily fleece the public! We've won 3 x £10ers since it began..never anything higher, so we won't be bothering now with all it would cost!!! That's obviously why they been showing so many clips of "what your money helps do" to gear us up! Thanks again, Ruth, at least hubby & I aware of it all now.SusanneCape wrote: »The good news is that I am now officially off the cigs , I plan to put the money I would have spent on the cigs into my pot.

Have a great weekend all,
Good to see you, Susanne, sorry you've been rough, but marvellous news that you're off the ciggies!!!!! :j Do be careful that using an E-cig isn't too much like the real thing and lures you back!! I truly wish you well and quit myself 14 years, 3 weeks ago, cold turkey!!!! :j You have a lovely weekend also. We had a photography friend living in S Africa, they had snow just once and he took photos galore - for posterity I guess.
You're welcome, Mini Zoo.Anytime you're unsure of anything - just ask, one of us will soon be with you to help.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone, just be safe in that snow!
Sue x

Thanks Wyre ~ I did think about that but it's only LO that has school dinners and he doesn't eat a huge amount. Everyone else has packed lunches so I have food in for those (with 2 teenagers in the house it doesn't make much difference if they're at school/college or home!)
Thanks Sue ~ re-read the first post too but I just wanted to make sure that was ok.
LO is still very hot but has had lots of cuddles today, hopefully he will feel much better soon, thank you for the good wishes for him!0
