Can I join please? Great idea! I will try to put the money I would have spent on lunch at work in when I take in a pack up lunch instead (as well as anything else I find lying around!)
do I have to keep a running total, or can it be a suprise come November?
Morning iwilldoitthistime

Morning everyone
A very warm SPC6 welcome to all our newest members, I hope you all get a nice surprise on 1st December when you open your pots.
My daily £3 potted, plus £3 in change from a work colleague who knew I "collected chenge", also 7 X £2 coins into the New York 2014 spending fund
6p road change into my road change pot, this helps to pay road tax, MoT & a tank of petrol for my scooter every year.
I think when the l*tto goes to £2 a pop, I will start to put that money into the sealed pot also because they won't be getting any more money out of me when it goes up!
Have a great day everyone, stay safe, wrap up well, watch your step & keep savingSparky0107 - Sealed pot challenge member #002. Total for SPC3 £1,030.57 Total For SPC 4 £2247.00 Total for SPC 5 £2574.62 :T Total for SPC 6 £4552.91:T

Good morning. good morning *sings*
It's fabulous to see soooo many people - over 2000 - wow! Utterly amazing and so great to think that we will all be putting money away. I cannot believe how much was saved last year - that's the price of a house is some places!!! Staggering and very humbling really.
Am in a great mood today, no idea why considering the house is like a freezer and hubby has filled the hallway with wood and a half built frame for a partition wall. Still the kids are at school (in the south east so no snow here yet, that's not due 'til midday'ish). Hopefully hubby will finish his frame before he is back at work tomorrow as the Boy Child can't get his bike in and out atm.
The youngest two maybe being filmed tonight at Girl's Brigade as part of the series '16 Children and Counting' so they are kind of excited. Course that depends if the film crew can get there!!
So £2.61 potted yesterday as change in my purse.Spam Reporter Extraordinaire

Who hasn't been reading the first page? :rotfl:
Good idea about the l*tto money, pity everyone doesn't do the same. It would make the greedy whatsits think twice about raising the prices.
Welcome to our newest members, you'll love being part of the family.

Morning, hope everyone's keeping warm?
Littlest one is poorly today so I can't go out as planned. No money to go into the pot at the moment as I have no change but I have a query ~ I'm trying to think of as many ways of 'potting' as much money as possible (December is always a really tough month for me as 2 of my children have birthdays just before Christmas). Littlest one usually has school dinners 4 times a week which costs £9.20. When it's half term and holidays can I put this money into my pot?
Hope everyone has a good day!!0 -

Hope the LO gets better soon.
Personally our kids make up for no dinner at school by eating double at home during the holidays. But I would think that if you aren't spending it, there's nothing wrong with potting it. I guess we had better wait for clarification from our beloved Sue!! I should probably try and pot half their dinner money during the holidays. Hmm some pondering to do!Spam Reporter Extraordinaire
