"Sealed Pot Challenge ~ No 6"

Hello Everyone.
Cleared my purse of change last night and added 50p to the pot, then found 30p in the hall tidying everyones shoes away.
This morning my son was very excited when he spotted 50p on the sofa under one of the cushions and insisted on putting it in the pot.
So thats £1.30 added.
Hope everyone is well, or feeling beter. Not sure if I believe the snow forcast, but the weather is looking a bit grim here.Sealed Pot Member ~ 1967

Hi all, please can I join, I've just sealed up an empty quality street tub with loads of sellotape and put 18p in, which I found lying around in my teenage girls bedroom, amongst other things x0

Brilliant saving, DebtFreeASAP!!! Always head for the pot clutching it tightly! :jHave potted a lovely shiny £2 coin today, plus £10 because I was a good girl in town and didn't buy loads of 'stuff' to cheer myself up. Feel lots better too so that's worked
Rx
Well done, Rosy, pleased it obviously worked and that you feel much better for it.Wyre wrote:All 3 of the kids came home and handed me roadkill. Their friends must think we are really badly off!
Oh wonderful, Wyre! They're not begging on the way home are they??? :rotfl:You tell em to grab it before anyone else does, they'll soon be the pride of the neighbourhood!!! :T
Ugh oh, HMS, trust you and your brother to come up with new words to "twinke twinkle little star" ...though not at all crude I'm sure.Lynsey wrote:We won't be creating a UK shortage of coinage will we??
No, don't worry, Lynsey, that won't happen - or if it does then the bankers (don't know what came over me then as I nearly mistyped it  ) have more problems than they have already!elizabunny wrote:Still not able to get out and about -so frustrating. Managed a short walk down the garden, just for the fresh air. What a beautiful day it was here today. I have held off the painkillers until now, but have given in -I hate taking them. It's the choice between not being able to move about/sleep at all and getting some sleep and moving about a little bit, so I've chosen the latter. At least it's keeping me out of the shops:) and given me lots of time to work out ways to save money:)
DH is being fantastic, I would award him a medal if I could and he even bought me flowers yesterday. So being a bit poorly does have its upside. Hugs to everyone else feeling a bit poorly/under the weather, tis not long until spring.
Happy potting potters.
I really do hope you're soon able to feel a lot better, elzabunny, it must be rotten to have to endure it until such times as it allows you to feel more comfortable and able to move around more freely. Your hubby sounds a real treasure...buying you flowers too, bless him!
Take great care, elizabunny! xxx
Keep it up, Modesty, and I'm sure you will.Enjoy the day, everyone, and get well all those who aren't.Sue x

What did they change it to? My niece sings
Twinkle, twinkle chocolate bar
my old dad drives a rusty car
start the motor, pull the choke
off it goes in a cloud of smoke.

Whilst amusing, i don't see what was wrong with the old one

YES! LOL, I asked my nephew to sing it too me and he came out with that lol, I was thinking that he'd made it up himself (being a three year old an all lol)
Sue After listening to the new version, we couldn't resist and make another one..i wont share it with you though(we did have quite a lot of fun too!!)
Knocked myself out yesturday whilst opening the cupboard so i've been "bed restrained" by OH whilst he pots all he comes home withThen whilst making breakfast this morning, the mirror fell off of the windowsill and on to my head and smashed, so i've also been banned from the kitchen (But i did sneak in there after OH went out with his twin, and put a load on WM
)
Happy potting everyoneAnd HELLO NEW PEOPLES

I actually snorted when I read that!! :rotfl:
HMS  Oh my goodness, if I were you I think I'd stay in bed for the day in case anything else fell/hit me!! Hope you avoid any more assaults from household furniture!!
Have 5p workkill in my pocket to pot.
Well done to peeps selling stuff and potting some of the cash. My boss has tons of stuff on ebay at the moment and it has finally energised me into sorting out some stuff to put on there!! I am collecting things in a bag and have started writing the listings so that I can whack them on in one go at the weekend. Normally it takes forever when I think up the listing as I go along!
The money will be going in to the deposit savings account rather than my sealed pot for the time being though.Hope everyone has had a good day, definitely hit the Thursday wall today as did some of the kiddies!! I hear there may be chance of a snow day next Monday, wouldn't say no to it!! :snow_grin
