(Quote) Hi Modesty, I really do hope so! Re the roeadsweepers....why not walk just ahead of them! (Quote)
If I did that Sue, I'd probably end up swirling about inside them too. :rotfl: I can't walk fast enough to spot roadkill and pick it up before those monsters do. Especially with 3 dogs taking me for a walk!S.P.C. 9 2016 No. 062 Banked £337.50

I got a log burner installed last summer ( paid for with PPI claim refund - very mse :money:). I entered my gas meter reading today and should be getting a £149 refund next month.
I am definetley saving this in my sealed pot as it a massive gas saving as i have not paid for one log or any bit of wood BUT am i allowed to count towards my seal pot challenge or not????
Thanks
I think you are generally allowed to pot anything you save that you would otherwise spend, but you cant take money straight from a 'normal' savings account. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong! But everyone has their own rules or methods for saving - I only put coins in my pot so a refund would go to my ISA, but others would save it in their pot!
I can't wait to get our woodburner in- we have taken miles of wood out of the walls and stored it in the shed and outside loo to keep dry! Would you mind me asking what type you have? You all make me laugh with your frisking stories, I get distracted though and forget to thank you. I then need to go back. It wouldn't take my oh long to work out I was only frisking him for money. I might try it though, when he works it out i'll wait until he's sleeping then check his pockets, he always has heaps of change and he's going to benefit aswell As far as finding money about here you've no chance you never even see a penny lieing on the streets.0

DreamerHelen wrote: »Amelia...I think the concept of the "Holding Pot" is to have it there so you can put your change in it for the Week but take it out if you need it for Car Parking or a Pint of Milk or something...and then at the end of the Week if you haven't spent it you can put it in your proper Sealed Pot so that you can't spend it...and then start all over again for the Week...
So basically it means that people don't have to open their Sealed Pot because they have the "Holding Pot" there to use if they need it...
Did that make ANY sense whatsoever??? LoL :rotfl:
Just a small offering today of 17p bringing me up to a Grand Total of £21.19....YAY!!! :T
I was walking back from the little Paper Shop this Evening when I thought I saw something shiny on the Floor but the problem was that it was in a great big dirty puddle....So then I had to think to myself whether I would fish into that big dirty puddle to fish out some Roadkill...I decided that I would (that's dedication for ya!!) but when I looked again it wasn't money....But I WOULD have done it...honest guv!! :A
Thanks for your lovely Words Sue....you are a true inspiration to me....and soooooooo lovely at the same time...how do you do it????
Right....I'm off to do some Work now....I'll see if I have anything to offer up to put in the Pot tomorrow...0 -

* Please pop your number on your sig, it helps a lot.
Well done, rchlbentley, you've read the 1st post well!!!!!!
It's on Page 1, 1st post, Amelia, but here's exactly what it means:
7/ Holding Pots: To anyone concerned about putting money into their pot..then needing it later in the week/month: Why not use one unsealed pot as a 'holding' pot and pop the money in their first each time/week/month - then, if it's not desperately needed (for car parking costs, little Johnnies school trip etc) - put it in a Sealedone so it stays put. Do that each week and it'll save you taking money from the bank. Discipline yourself to only take what's needed!
So, yes, Amelia, your little coin purse has now become your holding pot!
You cheeky beggar, HMS! :rotfl: Not too sure what you mean about a blank brain...but then I wouldn't as I believe mine's permanently like it reading posts such as yours! :rotfl:
By talking to such lovely people on here, Helen, truly, I love it. BTW, a great shot at the holding pot meaning, but mind you, all you lot should know IF you read my 1st post!!!
I see what you mean, Janey, I don't know a lot about cars, but hubby does thank goodness.
