Time to get a smaller car next time perhaps, Janey, less tax! I know it's a long hard slog with the house, but what an achie
vement when you're in and finished!! BTW, I love the quote...and agree! :)

Thanks Sue, but it's only a vauxhall corsa 1.2! Big enough for me, OH and dog! But it's over 4 years old and the newer ones seem to be less tax :(

I have bought myself a little coin purse to keep in the car with enough change for any parking costs...now that's sorted EVERY other bit of change I get can be potted as I won't have to worry about keeping some 'just in case'! :)

I do that! I try to keep enough in there for 2 trips to the hospital in an emergency- about £5 in total

Mine has gone up to £135:mad::mad::mad: Was £125 when I got it! I'm just focusing on finishing paying for the blimming thing - putting a bit of the last payment on a credit card which should be cleared by the end of the year then I'm going to enjoy at least a year of not paying for a car every month. Then I'll probably get fed up with bits breaking on it and start all over again with another nearly new one! :rotfl:

Mine is a Peugeot 206 1.4. It may be small and old but i love him and the tax is £30 a year and he runs ok (albeit with a few odd noises but they're easily fixed with some loud music haha) - we shall see if i love him as much in april when he has his mot.....

Just under £2 in the pot today :) hope to add more later
