Nothing wrong with your eyes, ms_night_ryder, it's new this year as quite a few people were having problems due to being so eager to save! Then poor kiddies weren't having any dinner money etc! :grinheart Glad you too will benefit.gardenia82 wrote: »Found a suitable tub for mine today and put in all the change I had lying around - came to £24.46!! What a great start. I won't be adding the total as I go but will post from time to time. Yay!
A fantastic start, gardenia!! It makes you really keen to pot the next lot now! Well done, a lovely surprise too.I need to get into the habit of putting something in the pot every night - even if it's only a few pennies.
It certainly helps so long as it's possible, black cat, but don't worry if you have any NSDs....I have 6 of the [STRIKE]b**gers[/STRIKE] darlings.
It's so good to see you dropping by more regularly, elizabunny. Happy New Year.
All the best for your £100 or more aim, Lynsey, it's amazing what's possible!
Daylight robbery, HMS...a lot like the trains! Well done your Dad, the Beeb is good for sure, plenty other free ones on the web too. Bon nuit.hopefulmoneysaver94 wrote:Count it when they go to bed

Brilliantly answered, Emily, of course it's sealed! :T
At least, gien! I'm so happy for you that you finally have it and can tuck your cash away. A great idea with the alcohol free moth, cheers or prost to that!! :j
An excellent beginning, Nickyj. I'm so looking forward to your little one. :Aljaneyr wrote:Welcome to all the new potty people! It really is so motivational and it is such a buzz when you add up your first years total! I'm even more excited about things this year!
Time to get a smaller car next time perhaps, Janey, less tax! I know it's a long hard slog with the house, but what an achievement when you're in and finished!!BTW, I love the quote...and agree!
At least he'd 'saved' it too, WantToBeSE.
Well saved, Nikki, you too, mumof3plusoh...would I forget you.mossy wrote:Hello should be asleep but DH is snoring like a trooper tonight! would give him a swift kick but if I do it too hard and wake him properly I think he might take the opportunity for a little :kisses3::rotfl: so will have to put up with it!!

Thanks for that laugh, mossy, brilliant!! :rotfl:Just a gentle elbow in the ribs...sshhh. You can't change/alter your finances at night, think beautiful thoughts, memories, plans and try to sleep and sort it with a fresh mind in daylight.
Thinking of you at work, sparky, keep safe travelling in the dark.Have a good night, folk, a good day tomorrow also.

Sue-UU, I done a silly and forgot everything i've read on here and that everyone was doing what i was doing..Does anyone else do that? just have a blank brain day? Ooops! The only reason why i've got an easily unsealable pot is becasue i had an emergency with the stainless steel one and it took me an hour!! to get £5 out! So i'm taking the easy way

I have bought myself a little coin purse to keep in the car with enough change for any parking costs...now that's sorted EVERY other bit of change I get can be potted as I won't have to worry about keeping some 'just in case'!0

Amelia...I think the concept of the "Holding Pot" is to have it there so you can put your change in it for the Week but take it out if you need it for Car Parking or a Pint of Milk or something...and then at the end of the Week if you haven't spent it you can put it in your proper Sealed Pot so that you can't spend it...and then start all over again for the Week...
So basically it means that people don't have to open their Sealed Pot because they have the "Holding Pot" there to use if they need it...
Did that make ANY sense whatsoever??? LoL :rotfl:
Just a small offering today of 17p bringing me up to a Grand Total of £21.19....YAY!!! :T
I was walking back from the little Paper Shop this Evening when I thought I saw something shiny on the Floor but the problem was that it was in a great big dirty puddle....So then I had to think to myself whether I would fish into that big dirty puddle to fish out some Roadkill...I decided that I would (that's dedication for ya!!) but when I looked again it wasn't money....But I WOULD have done it...honest guv!! :A
Thanks for your lovely Words Sue....you are a true inspiration to me....and soooooooo lovely at the same time...how do you do it????
Right....I'm off to do some Work now....I'll see if I have anything to offer up to put in the Pot tomorrow...0
