Yep got to my store at 7:20am Hazel Grove and had sold out..on the ineternet clearly states NO RESERVATIONS, so thats a con. Theres another one up the road but but though no point not getting there to be told the sold out at 7am or something.

Really is silly why say these rules about 8am onwards..no reservations etc but all the bags have been reserved?

I wish I had come on here before I went to Hazel Grove store I could have saved a wasted journey!!

Glad I decided not to bother - guessed it might end up as a bit of a shambles (so many of these kinds of deals do).

No surprise to see that at least one has appeared on Ebay already - listed by 8am!! Wonder how many of these bags went to Sainsbury's staff?

The store I went to wouldn't allow staff to have them unless they were not working, got in the queue with everyone else and had no sign of their uniform on. One of the staff wasn't working today and she arrived just as I did (7.30am) but like me didn't get one.

I got up too late and got there at about 7.55, by the time I'd parked and got to the door the manager had handed most out and then handed the last one to the person 2 before me! Wished I hadnt turned my alarm off and had half an hr extra in bed! I'm not good in mornings! Oh well, you snooze you loose as they say!

Glad to see your branch is playing by the rules - just hope that they all were for the sake of all those people queuing.

Noooo...I overslept, didn't get there til 7:40 and all the tickets had been given out at 7:30 apparently, the qu wasn't that mad, I think most people only got there at around 7.
    Gutted :(
  • I agree with you babbler, Its not reserving, The first 30 people who queued got a bag, they just thought it was a bit silly to make them stand there til 8 I guess. If they let 150 people stand in the queue, then gave the first 30 people tickets at 8am, that wouldnt make anyone very happy either! I think they did it in the fairest way possible (except selling to staff, thats bad. )

But maybe im just saying that cuz I got one!! Yay! I got to my local at about 7:10 and I got a ticket with 17 on it at about 7:40. They had to turn about 20 people away and then about 25 more as the time went along. The people at the front had been there since 5.30am. Its only a small store though. I am just so pleased to have got something so desirable and it only cost £5! Can't believe people are paying £200.. if they wanted one that badly you with think they would make sure they were in the queue.

There are at least 40 on eBay that have been listed this morning.

I missed out too - got there at 7.30am and was 3 people too late. Never mind - disappointed but not gutted.
