    £1513.56 transferred to savings account.

This month has really exceeded all my expectations. Two things have made a big difference. The first is the motivation I've gained from reading everyone's posts in this thread. The second is that I'm now using a spreadsheet to track my spending. I saw it mentioned on another forum that MSE user ukmonkey had developed one that a number of folks had found helpful. A quick PM later and I discovered that it comes with instructions on how to modify it to your own categories. All the hard work of the spreadsheet already done. So now I can quickly see where my money has gone, and the budgets I've set for each spending category are really motivating.

Day 3 of no sickness so hopefully thats that gone!

I've hopefully sorted out my college finance which should be paid on Friday. I say should, so fingers crossed. I'll count that in Februarys total if it is paid as it should have gone in on the 15th!!

I've itching to gut the entire house so I may start listing on eBay soon.

I'm also going to meal plan (and stick to it) so try and save some cash.
  • I will have saved £2740-ish as of (1/3/13). 27% there.

Things are going pritty well, doing better then expected, looking at getting a new car due to mine falling to pieces.

  • Checking in with a saving of £955.78 in February (updated form). Thats a lot more than I had aimed for (£589), so its looking good! That brings my total to £3855.78, which means i'm over half way to target... can't help but feel the target might be too low...
