Hey Twiggy, I was being upbeat that day (yesterday??), today not so much. No pep talks today. :rotfl:
I will investigate car insurance some more, thanks for the info : )
Had one hell of a rotten day at work, so I'm modelling my savings and investments over the next ten years assuming no income rises, updating my spreadsheets and taking surveys. I was supposed to go to the pub tonight. :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Managed to save around £1000 in January, even with the unexpected school expenses.
Up to £1500 now but will have a more exact amount once I update the spreadsheet with my new Nationwide save to buy account.

Another £80 in the savings pot today yay. Will update my signature in a mo.
Had a very exciting day today, I was asked to go to BBC Radio Cumbria to talk about my debt problems live on air! Amazingly I wasn't at all nervous and I did mention MSE twice I think, as well as National Debtline, CAB and Stepchange. Everyone was really nice and I got to learn a little bit about how a radio programme is put together.
I charge for autographs though0 -

I had enough trouble convincing the presenter that I was £17000 in debt 4 years ago. Trying to explain to him that my slightly nutty OH has a perversion which includes Wensleydale with cranberries wrapped in clingfilm was always going to be a tough call.
OH still claims there are two packets of cheese in the fridge...THERE ARE THREE...starting to think her eyesight is going!Pay off all your debts by Christmas 2025 no. 15 £0/69490 -
Added some more shopping savings and some Tesco Voucher savings as we bought RAC membership using them which has saved us over £100!
Also had an unexpected windfall yesterday, my partner was given some money from his parents from their inheritance from his grandfather who passed away in November last year. Really nice that they shared some with their children!
Think I will increase our target to 6k for the year now so will update thus in the spreadsheet at the end of the month!:jGrocery Challenge 2019 YTD-£820.46/£7200(11%)

I've been AWOL a lot this month but I've just found out I'm pregnant with baby no 2. Had a short stay in hospital with dehydration but I'm back on the ball now!!
More than ever I want to hit my target and get a mortgage!
Congratulations
Up to £700, don't think I'll be matching January by a long shot but still saving as much as I can, got a few little bits on ebay which should get me a few quid but it all helps eh?Save £6k in 2013 member 168 £1187/60000
