  • Been a bad month for me, my car started rattling, uneconomical to repair so have had to buy a new one. My savings took a hit (infact I have little left) but I managed to pay the car off without getting finance. :)

I think I'll end up changing my savings figure, but what with looking to move into a place by myself, I'm not completely sure if i'll be able too.

Well done guys, great work :)

Nothing else to report yet this month. Pay day not until next week. However I am pleased to say I got my car through the MOT with minimal fuss, just had to do a minor part replacement but all together passed with only £80 spend! Might have to do the unthinkable and give it a celebratory wash.

Congrats floella80 on the birth of your little one x

We got over £500 in interest this month from our ISA's which is fab as I had completely forgotten about that! We are keeping my partner's bonus to pay for a few extra things, flights to visit family, new tv for kitchen etc. so I'm not going to count it in this savings pot at the moment! Still, 4 months in and over halfway there so far so we may be able to increase the target later in the year! :)

    Hi
I read my previous written post (on 31-12-12) And now, I think I can double that target. I'm aiming for 10k in 2013.
Although it will be hard, I believe (and hope) I can do it. Although I've had a lucky start in March/April, we'll have to see if this can be maintained for the rest of the year. fingers crossed.
And I did put many things on internet to sell, and sold one thing making £4. So guess the rest is just going to go to charity.

    What does everyone do?
If you spend some of your savings, do you take away this amount from your total saved or do you just leave it?

  • Only just updating my savings total now for March. My finances started to get a little confusing and not much has been saved. Once I get paid at the end of the month, I plan to get the holiday paid off, and all will become clearer.

Reporting £126.84 for March, putting me at £466.84 out of a £2000 target, so almost a quarter of the way there. April should be a much better month, as I should earn far more than expected with a pay rise coming into affect, so should get £300 saved for April :j.
