Ibnblbnb you are still storming off to a fantastic £6,477!! That's more that a few are aiming for in the whole 12 months. So I wouldn't feel too down about it! Wonder how soon someone will reach it, what was the earliest someone hit £12k last year?:eek:Living frugally at 24

Didn't expect to ssave anything this month....but came home to a statement from a forgotten account with £77.89 in it. I'm very pleased
Expecting £20 or so in fleabay sales this month too.....so will be an unexpected £100ish in the pot by the end of the month. Wow, this saving malarkey is fun :j :j
I'll update my signature at the end of the month once I've moved everything to my ISA (need to organise a new one at the weekend as the current one interest rate tumbles from 1 May)SPC Member #112 :A Save £2k in 2014 # 160 :money:0 -

Barbeduk, you're doing great...over £3000 in three months is a tremendous achievement, well done. Don't worry about this month, like you say roll on May!
Had some interest and a refund on some clothes, so by-passed the current account and straight into savings. Want to save more money this month than last, so that's my short term goal. This thread certainly keeps you on track thanks to all the lovely people on here.
I applied for a First Direct current account on Tuesday, so when that is all funded I should hopefully get £125 for switching in about three months or so. Gotta make money from the banks as they make enough money from us is what I say :-)Pay off all your debts by Christmas 2025 no. 15 £0/69490 -
Got to wait for the end of the month to add to the pot, but in the meantime will probably earn a little interest on my current ISA which expires end of next week. For some reason I got most of the interest at the beginning of March. If only the current ISA could continue at 3.3%. The best one out there is with Santander (if you have a 123 account) at 3%, but fixed for 2 years.

Think our savings will go backwards this month.
Around the new year we put all our savings to one side, and labelled that our 'house budget'.
Fast forward to today: we're signing contracts tomorrow, but we're starting to get over budget.
I'll do the figures towards the end of the month, but I think we'll be dipping into our 2013 savings due to the house going over budget.
Ah well. We've been doing well so far, and the house is/will be really nice. So we're happy.
(Albeit our bank account is moaning a bit :rotfl:)0 -
Good morning! I've been reading the thread for a few weeks now and have been given lots of inspiration to save some money! I really want to start saving for a deposit on a house and want to get that done in less than 2 years. I've always been a saver of pennies and silvers and banked around £40 last month so I will keep on with the coins. I know we are 4 months into the month so I'm going to try to save £6,000 this year. Fingers crossed!! I have signed up for a 123 account with santander to start saving in as it's 3% and did that through Topcashback.co.uk so that will get me £30ish. Everyone here is doing amazingly and its given me lots of inspiration to finally get off my bum and start saving! x x
Goals: Save £500 for emergencies, Save £200 of Amazon vouchers for Xmas, fix my holey clothes!

Welcome and well done, you. I had no idea one could get cashback for banking products. I will keep that in mind for the future as I already have a 123 account.Save £12k 2013 '13 #66 £12,106.76/£12,000 // '14 #44 £10,081.90/£10,000 // '15 #67 £11,976/£12,000 // '16 #67 £7,322/£12,000

I got a £5 Amazon voucher from Swagbucks which I applied to my Amazon account. I decided I would save up for a ridiculously expensive item that I would really like. I get cat food regularly using the subscribe and save facility and although I was aware of it being due, I forgot that they take the funds automatically and include any vouchers so my voucher has been swallowed up by cat food
I don't NEED the expensive item, I just want it and I thought that buying it with vouchers I had earned would justify the purchase. Oh well.
So I took the £5 from my cat food allowance and paid it into savings instead!Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
