Hi All, Some great updates recently - keeping my saving motivation up! Had a good little bit of news today - £27.05 in interest on some old savings accounts we've just closed, so that's a little bit more onto my monthly figure. It all helps doesn't it.
OH has got a very old ISA lurking somewhere too, shall have to winkle that out and get it earning it's keep...Save 12k in 2013-2014-2015-2016-2017-2018-2019-2020-2021-2022 - then early-retired.0 -

Yes, this works for me too. Except my car is a teeny toyota yaris and is not so expensive to run therefor my monthly savings for it are a fraction of yours! However, I cut my cloth accordingly and the principle is the sameMortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Bad news for me unfortunately - had a collision with a Transit van on Tuesday that is going to set me back over £700 in repairs
Excess on insurance means it's not worth claiming.
Oh well, will need to get creative in ideas to make up the shortfall! On the bright side, it could have been much worse so trying to not stress too muchSavings in 2012 £3545

Payday for me next Tuesday so planning my next transfers. I think I will fill my cash ISA for the first time ever. So pleased as I paid off a lot of debt this year too.
I need to move the ISA though as the interest rate is pitiful.Grocery Challenge (2 adults 2 kids)

I'm really sorry to hear that, Thrifty. What a blow to the savings. But at least you are alright, and that's the most important thing. You can always (eventually) replace savings, but your health is beyond price.Save £12k in 2022 thread #7:

Good morning everyone,
Thriftyfashionista, I am glad to hear that you are OK. That is the most important thing. So sorry about your accident. Keep smiling, t'is only a small hic-up.
I noticed this morning that my bank added interest to my Cash ISA so a hefty £583.66 gets added to my balance .
I was a bit surprised that it gets added so soon as the ISA runs until April, but that being the case I suspect I'll get another interest payment when the deal finishes.
When are we having the next fee-free ebay weekend? Does anyone know? I always seem to get this info after the fact  and miss out. Bohooooooo .......
Hope everyone is gearing up for a relaxing weekend.
