That must have felt quite good clearing the balance down Loz :) I've run myself really tight this month and am feeling really vulnerable - but by you having the spare money gave you the flexibility to just deal with the bill which must be great!

yes its a very strange feeling. i've not spent on my credit card since the beginning of november so feell ike im actually making progress as i've bought the washing machine (2nd hand) the tyre & now the balance of the bills. go me :) will mean i wont be making as many extra little payments but shows that i am definitly stopping the uncecessary spends (and bacon cob friday is a thing of the past :)

Which is a fab thing! Also, as you stop the spending, your disposable cash might start to increase a bit and you might find you can start making to overpayments again like you were :)

My ain this month, besides having the guts to make the overpayments (I'm having on to the money until the day before payday in case something unexpected happens!) is to also not touch my overdraft this month - that will be the first time in months if I can manage it! That said however... I currently have £20 that I can truly call 'spare' as all my other money is budgetted into car repairs, fireplace checks and paying the LPG bill.

Bacin cob Friday might be able to slowly make a come back too... maybe first as a monthly treat, then bi-weekly and see how it goes from there? Don't rule it out :)

even if you go into your od shortie, it may not be as much as previously months so over the next few months you can get ahead that way.

Can I borrow yours? I found a toadstool growing out of our bathroom ceiling this afternoon where mine hasn't fixed the leaking bathroom roof and the plaster is soaked. Don't know whether to laugh or cry.
