Thanks Aamberle.
i SO hope this work come off. it'll be such a boost for him. since he moved to nottingham just over a year ago (to be with me) work has been really hard, his friends have been really rubbish, so trying to keep him going has kind of taken its toll. but 2013 has got to get better. everyone said 2012 wuld be the best year ever because we got married...but the rest of the year over clouded that a bit so 2013 will be the best yearFacing up to things - nov 2012 total 9334.95

Sounds like you've got it sorted to me. I'll be aiming for something similar when we get our joint current up and running. The concern for me is if they try to take a DD out of the wrong account, so I'm aiming to build up a separate month's money in the joint current account while also having the same in my personal current until I know all DDs have transferred correctly. Realistically that won't happen for another 18 months, although thinking about it I could do one DD a month starting with the smaller ones - actually that's not a bad idea. I shall start a list"Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000 -
yes definitely make a list Tiglath. a few years ago when i lived on my own, i had a list of house things i wanted to get done. some were simple things like tidiying the shed & attic (therfore free) and some were a few quid and some were expensive...over the year i managed to chip through and get nearly all of my list..e.xcpet my front door which is now done
makes you feel like you're achieving things.

Morning LL,
Keeping my fingers crossed for that pint today. Its been a painful wait hasnt it xx0 -
well, got npower bill today... and nearly cried. payment doubled. rang them cleared the balance down (which beforei wuold never have been able to do ) and the payemnt, although higher than before no where near as high as it was going to be. just shows that having the hubs at home all day everyday during this winter..and the lodger too coz hes only at college 15hrs a week...its def effecting the bills. waters gone up, gas & electrics gone up. guess theres nothing else that can go up though. and at least i had the available money to clear the balance and get the payments manageable.

Painful but you wouldn't have been in a position to bring the payment down before you started all this, so well done on progress"Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000
