Hi all,
I'm a BT unlimited broadband customer, who also only pays a discounted rate for it. Only £13.50 a mth.
Out of the blue, I got a letter from BT today, stating that as my area was now Infinity (fibre) enabled, they would give it to me for absolutely not a penny extra, and without an contract extension, either. All I had to do was quote the promo-code at the bottom of the letter.
So I rang them up and it was true! So BT Infinity here we come! 57Mbps as compared to 6.5. Lovely!
So keep your eyes peeled, BT folks...
I have just had a phone call asking if I want BT Infinity. According to the caller I would be paying a bit extra as I am on a similar discount to you. Nowadays I am very cautious about unsolicited phone calls so I didn't go ahead. Instead I looked at this forum and saw your post. I then called BT to ask them but was refused a free upgrade and was told the internet and evening and weekend calls package would cost £26, whereas I am at present getting a £10.85 discount on £24.10 a month.
I shall wait a while to see if I get the same letter as you before I go ahead. Otherwise my contract expires in March and I shall try then.
Us country dwellers having been subsidising city dwellers for some time and I feel a bit peeved at being asked to pay even more to get a reasonable broadband speed which city dwellers have been getting for the same cost for some time already.0 -
WHy can't you PM us the code you got?
Or is it unique?
Living off £450 per month is easy...! If you aren't single! :j0 -

Hi lordra, the code is unique and so can only be used once. Sorry 'bout that.
I actually got my order confirmation letter yesterday, and it confirmed I'll be paying the same as I am now and it also includes new kit (modem and home hub) free of charge too. :T0 -
Congratulations all you Infinity users. I live in London and was thinking of changing to BT but FTC gets put back 3 months every 3 months. I'll just have to stay with AOL (LLU) which to be fair provides me with an excellent service and have just made me an offer that BT couldn't match and I couldn't refuse.
No doubt when BT get their FTC act together AOL will be using it.Named after my cat, picture coming shortly0 -

Do you have the number on the letter by any chance? I got the letter too but I must have thrown it away by accident! Thanks.0 -
I also received the free upgrade offer and currently pay £13.25 for Option 3 broadband but decided not to take up the offer as was informed by BT that at contract renewal time I would not receive such a large discount if I've become a BT Infinity customer.0

The install happened to today and it all went flawlessly. Unlimited Infinity 2, with 57Mbps, and all for only £13.25 a month. Tops!
