Hitflip - free DVD

Have to say I'm not convinced by this site. Flip Value seems inconsistant with some people charging the equiv' of £15 for a £3-£5 dvd/book/cd.....

Also there is no way of knowing the condition of the item - this alone would stop me from using.

My 'swap', using my credits, is just sat in my wish list with nothing happening. I assume the seller needs to approve the sale or some such? Is there a time scale on this before the system assumes the seller isn't active and refunds my flips?

Also there are very few items actually on offer. I don't think an item listed in someones 'don't wish to swap at the moment' list should be listed as available to buyers... because it isn't!

And lastly who is the seller PLAY? they seem to have all of the available items in their library but you can't actually access their library.

The idea is good but at the moment this isn't a site I would be even remotely tempted to use....

once you have registered goto settings and click redeem voucher. Then add WelX20G1M04. this gives you 1 more flip and another 79p

No offence ladies, but can we bring this back on topic.

I've had one DVD for free so I'm fairly happy.
With the rest of it, it's either on my wish list and not currently available or not on the site at all. I think it's a great idea but 2 problems seem aparent.

1) Availability of items

2) Getting people to actually send stuff they've promised.

I think if the site gets more publicity then it could improve.

To be honest was fun at first but so far Ive sent about 5 dvds and got another 3 requested and had nothing back every one ive ordered has been cancelled by the other person got my cash and flips back so trying again hopefully I will get something out of this.

i have received 2 dvd's within days of requesting them, both in perfect condition so im very happy.

are these items really free?Can you keep them?Do you have to swap?
Also what happens to your dvds when you cancel your membership?

The items are free yeps

You can keep the item, or put them back onhitflip to swap for something else.

You don't have to swap.

if you decide to cancel your account, the dvds you have are yours. Any items on your wish list, or swaps list, will just get deleted

I agree with the experience of others here. I think it might be best for cds as there are loads of them. There have been no ds games for instance since I signed up. I got a good audio book and a cd, so not a dead loss but not great. Readitswapit is far better for books.
