I didn't find a lot availbl on this site.
I would like to encourage people to make use of local charity shops.
You help in many ways by giving and buying help.
1) you save money
2) by giving books, cds etc. you are helping the charity
3) By buying your helping the charity
4) You are also reducing the transporting of these swaps by mail so I would say it's more environmentally friendly (providing you're not travelling 50 miles in a 4x4 to get to the shop).
Just a suggestion.0 -
i signed up on the referrals page and got 2 flips plus 79p and then used the voucher to get another flip and 79p. I should now be able to get 2 dvds

absoluteopia you shouldn't be refering people directly to your referal post. I for one will actively not use yours and use somebody else's instead.
The board guides seem to be as stupid as your good self and removed the post telling people there's a voucher code. As Edna says i was merely telling people there was a code for 1 free flip & 79p in the vocher code section of this site, never at any stage did i ask anyone to visit the refferers board and use my link, nor did i have my refferal link in the same post as the code. I for one am glad you didn't use mine,0 -
Got my DVD today (The Jacket) after ordering on Thursday night. Was surprised to find it looking absolutely brand new, was expecting something a bit tatty. Very happy with what might as well be a brand new DVD for free!
Great freebie, thanks to the OP for the find and to absoluteutopia for highlighting the code!0 -
Is it one member per household?
Also how long does it take to get your free 3 flips for inviting a friend?
Thanks.0 -
Be aware that your birth date is sent unencrypted and can be read by a 3rd party.
It can be used in identity theft/fraud.
I usually lie about my birthday to avoid identity theft (in most cases it isn't relevant).
If you still want to free sflip then put in a slightly different date.0 -

Fair enough on the other points - I do the same too for security on non "official" sites.
mine's on the 26th lol0 -
The story behind hitflip is to swap. We give you a free flip and 79p on signup so you can get to know the service as it is a great new idea to swap instead of to shop.
Suggestions like inserting the wrong date of birth in order to receive a free birthday flip earlier is pure fraud and theft and in the end you destroy a good offer which is a good community for many people.

Hi Adam,
Welcome to the site.
Just to confirm.
I did not suggest that people entered the wrong date of birth in order to receive a flip eariler. I suggested entering a wrong date to protect themselves from identity fraud as the site sends this data unencrypted.
At no point did I suggest people make this earlier which you will see if you read my post. I think Edna was having a joke and I agree it would be fraud/theft to lie purely to get it now. I see no problem in moving the date by 1 or 2 days just to protect yourself from identity fraud.
Perhaps you can tell us why the data is sent unencrypted putting clients at risk?0
