"Fine" from Asda on Remembrance Sunday

I was at Asda today and parked in the disabled bay as I had my mum with me, who is on crutches. Forgot to put up the blue badge up, came out and nothing.
Gutted, I was really looking forward to getting an invoice too, only ever had one before.0 -

You need to visit more populated areas. My local ASDA this week had 4 yellow-jacketed attendants on duty whilst the store was open to keep traffic moving, and also were forced to close it to new parkers due to lack of space. But for those who use the CP for purposes other than shopping at THAT store alone are fooling themselves that it's reasonable to do so as long as they (at some point) make a purchase.0 -

Don't thy this up here. I understand that private disabled spaces up here will be fully compliant with the decriminalised parking regulations from 1st April 2013.
Long overdue IMHO.0 -

Not necessarily. I can think of an Aldi and a Waitrose and a Tesco in Sussex where the planning consent for the car park was only given on the basis of an agreement for people to use local shops when parking there. In the case of Aldi and Tesco you don't even have to shop there but CAN use their car park as the Council wanted local shops supported too.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I genuinely forgot to put it up, remembered half way round the store, but wasn't going back out to do it as it was only a quick visit.
And my mum is disabled and has a blue badge.0 -

I don't think that's happening. All I've found reference to is that a couple of individual councils (East Dunbartonshire is one OTOH) have had their applications to bring their enforcement in line with the main urban authorities and use the existing decriminalised legislation approved by the DOT for implementation sometime next year.
It won't mean a thing as far as private parking is concerned in general and for private disabled spaces, enforcement under the DPPPA has to be specifically applied for on a site by site basis and so far that has only happened in any amount in the private residential context - I can only find evidence of two instaces of it applying in retail car parks in the whole of Scotland.0 -

We have a case running at the moment regarding this outfit that has been forwarded onto Asda and this one WILL get to a suitably high level of authority.0
