MIL just called they are just back from railway museum cold tired and hungry, so can they stay another night? So the little ones are coming back in the morning. We'll have to pretend tomorrow is the first day of advent.

Sort of good, can watch strictly in peace. Sort of missing my babies though. Will have to find something to do... Where's my sewing box?

    Afternoon

Mr M was manic, went to Lidl whilst out and to the garage to buy some smokeless coal on offer.

Spent this morning finishing emptying the log store, moving it and then refilling it with a lovely great double load of nice dry logs. Happiness is a full log store, but I am stunned at how much the logs had gone up by.

Lovely to see you back my kindred spirit, my wood store is almost empty so that is a job for DS3 and DH tomorrow to restock it from the side shed; still using gifted wood at the moment, will see us through into the New Year. I'm hankering after a stove when we decorate the LR this year but the cost is

Am I bit bah humbug? I won't be putting our tree up till the 14th ;)

Neither will I be but I might get the outside lights up tomorrow and will buy my tree next week end to soak for a week. Found a new place last year a few miles away which grow their own. Next weekend I'll cut all the greenery for reef making too.

Everybody out here atm so I'm going to light the fire then do HH on the paperwork before they all get back.

As DD3 and DS were in the house with their Dad instead of out and about, flying in the Study to "Hungry like the Wolf" did not happen, but some extras from early in the week got squashed.

Will try and get beds stripped again tomorrow and get some help with turning and vacuuming the mattresses from DD2 when she re-materialises from her weekend shenanigans.

I would so love to get the list finished this week :T, DS has missed his nap again today, so I am just hoping he goes down soon as I can start pottering quietly around...........
The cold never bothered me anyway

At this stage I don't think I'm going to bother at all; still don't know if Mr LW is going to be allowed Yule off work (though he booked it and had it approved months ago) due to they're moving a data centre (yes, a whole data centre) that week. I can't stand the idea of sitting here on my own with a load of glittery bits and a tree sitting there mocking me.

Evening :) Still lurking. Went to Dyrham Park today to a craft fair and to see some rooms decorated for a Victorian Christmas and to listen to carols in the little church there. Nice but cold. My tree won't go up for a couple of weeks yet. I get twitchy if there is anything extra in the room.....
