This has nothing to do with how easy it is to rank a video or site. It is for people setting up an Adwords campaign. It doesn't refer to how competitive the SERPs are for that keyword.

Have you thought about signing up with amazon associates and then putting a link in the video description that links to the products you use or mention in your videos?

That way you can earn 5% of whatever they buy from amazon after they click your link (with in 24 hours of clicking the link).

Thanks. Are they still popular i.e has Google changed the ranking algorithm for ranking YouTube videos as they have done with their search engine or are this type of video still getting views/traffic?

Not sure they change the ranking algorithms anywhere near as often as they do on google? but recently they have clamped down on faked view numbers that a lot of music videos had, where people would pay a botting service to "watch" their videos just to get the video view counts up.

That is good to know, thanks. It seems ranking in YouTube is easier, or less complicated then it is in Google. At least for now, get in while the going is good I say!

what about videos where the screencap for the video is of a pretty young woman in a bra? They always have like millions of views. Are these people raking in money? (assuming they have an adsense account linked to their vids)
The vids themselves are boring, but people click on them because of the picture used as the thumbnail for the video.
Even if just 2% of people clicked on an ad in the video, would these people not be making a few K per year? (at least)

Wouldn't surprise me if they were making money from these vid's tbh, and as long as they were not using any copywrited content youtube has no real reason to complain?
