Whilst some seem to be totally inexplicable, if you can put together a 'Prank' vid that takes the public's fancy, have some funny CCTV footage, or have pre-release access to a Rap/Pop star video ..........

Do people have to watch the whole video?
For example, if i made a video titled ''how to become a millionaire in 1 month'' I imagine it would get quite a few views, but the content could just be of a camera pointing at me whilst I ate fistfulls of salmon, not saying a word.
Would I get paid?

Can you have 1 adsense account linked to a number of youtube accounts?

I get the message ''not available in your country'' when I click on the monetisation link provided a few posts back.
Another page in youtube says my adsense application was rejected, but when I clik for more information, it says 'pending'/ SO which one is it? rejected or pending?

Videos that are watched the whole way through do much better than ones where people click back rather than watch it all. I think the number of likes and shares it gets help too.

I can't help with the adsense thing I don't know much about it. I already had an adesense account when I became a youtube partner, and I just linked the 2. You'd be best contacting them directly.

I have been interested in the youtube business for some time, but just need to research it more e.t.c. I have a nice little hd camera and i'm quite good at creating videos (as i have done so in the past,) so that shouldn't really be a problem.

I spend a lot of my time watching these beauty/fashion gurus, and i'm aware that some of them have generated enough of a following for them to have youtube as their full time job and have lots of other opportunities come their way. It's quite interesting watching how some of them go from making videos in their Mother's houses to moving out into their own flats/houses and making videos from there.

Some of the best explanations of complex stuff for my degree exams I got from youtube. If you can hit the right key phrases for understanding certain things you can hit high on Google I imagine, so kids who are stuck on 'how to understand how to do x' will google and find your video.

[Mine was an explanation of binary mathematics. It helped me out so much and has so many views and comments of people saying the same.]

Don't you only earn when people click the google ad links rather than just video views? (that's how adsence/adwords usually works).

I may be wrong? but as i understand it. The basic level of "partnership" that everyone has now only works when people click upon the add? but you can still apply for full partnership that pay's out with the ad impressions in some cases?

It's also quite interesting to see which of them have been able to turn it into a full-time career. It's not always the ones who have the best videos and do the most accomplished tutorials. There are some big gurus who don't seem to do anything but haul vids and vlogs. It's become almost like reality television where the talented don't always win. It shows that to make it big you need more than great videos in some cases.
