..........................DOOHHHHH the Brightbox dropped the IP address today when the signal was 98% with the new, and superb, TP-Link adapter.
I have made some enquiries and the DHCP handling of the Orange Brigthbox is technically described as 'flaky as a box of cornflakes!'
Back to the Netgear router (but only b and g broadcast, not n!)

Finally had a letter from Orange simply saying "Sorry you did not like the information on your QR code" ?????????????
What level of intelligence has this letter writer to mis-understand my concerns about data protection and the seriousness of it being on public display?

I have to agree, if I was a complaint handler and saw "Please give me some compo" they probs decided to send a standard sorry letter.
I thought the letter was a bit forceful!0 -

But the whole tone of the letter screams of give me some compo.0 -

Wow, you seem to hear a lot of "screaming" if your other posts are anything to go by!!! You also have a nasty habit of not reading a thread properly before you post.
OP, I would not be happy either, had that happened to me.0 -
Thanks, Gregg1.
It just seems such a surreal reply "being disappointed with the information on my QR code!" but I suppose for legal reasons they can't say "sorry we published all your login information, passwords, router and Orange account details publicly on the outside of three packages!"

Just received this from Orange/EE:
"Following your comments regarding the QR code provided on the outer packaging of your router equipment, I can advise that your comments were forwarded to the relevant department and as a result; we're now looking as an option to remove the QR code from the outer packaging in the near future."

This does seem a bit short sighted, but I am imagine it was to assist you in getting connected quickly?0

Not quite sure what you mean? I have been with Orange BB for years, but by taking the phone package they sent me an Orange Brightbox (firstly with no PSU) so they subsequently sent me 2 more.
I was interested in the QR code on the packages as posted and horrified to see all my account and password details available to anyone with a smartphone.
Alerting them to this serious data breach was my only reason for contacting them.
