Sounds like a good plan Emz! Sorry I missed the anniversary of your Dads death. Hugs xxx0

Thanks GRC :A
Right, thought I'd update on where I am with the surveys and other targets for March:
New Vista - £44.25/£50
Global Test Market - 725/1000
Panelbase - £0.50/£10
One Poll - £9.45/£40
eMystery Research - £9/£50
Quidco - £13.75/£50 (tracking)
Top Cash Back - £2.17/£50 (tracking)
Some are really close to paying out, others will take some more work. I'll keep updating the figures and see how I've done at the end of March.

Why's it still so cold? It's nearly March!
So disappointed that Hugh Jackman didn't get the Oscar. Daniel Day Lewis already has 2 of them - he has enough!! How lovely was Hugh to rush to Jennifer Lawrence's aid though? The perfect guy me thinks.
Anyway, I'm off to the cinema tonight to see Safe Haven. Will let you all know what it's like tomorrow.
Not much else going on at the moment. Just working and trying to stay warm.

Safe Haven was really good. I enjoyed it a lot. Even OH said it was okay. Going to see Identity Thief next week and Welcome to the Punch the week after. Loving all these free movies
.
Also got my refund for the dodgy duvet cover.

Just got an email to say that the 1,000 Clubcard points for joining Bilnk Box have been credited to my account. That's another £10 towards Christmas.
I've been thinking about asking for a Kindle for my birthday (in April), but I've just realised that I can put a Kindle app on my iPhone and read books on there. So I've just ordered Safe Haven to read so I can see how it differs from the movie (for free with my duvet cover refund).

Great news about the Clubcard, I have the Kindle app on my Iphone but I like the bigger screen. Lots of free books on the Kindle though0 -
Evening all
I've been working hard all day. Would have gotten more done, but I had to take my niece to school and pick her up again, so that ate up some time.
I have however:- Earned £30 from 63336
- Got £3 from New Vista Live (only £2.75 to go)
- Withdrawn £10.11 from the free game on JPJ
- Done a few surveys that will count towards Amazon vouchers eventually.
I've still got a couple more surveys to finish off tonight. Also paid another £10 off a debt.
We are off to OH's parents tomorrow morning (early, but better than staying overnight). Not only is it costing £40 in diesel to get there, but OH has said we will buy them a meal, so that's another £40-£50 for all of us. Makes me so cross - they are loaded and yet so tight.
I'm trying to keep the costs down, so will make bacon sarnies before we go (so OH doesn't want a McDonalds on the way up there) and have bought some cans from the supermarket for 25p each (so we won't be tempted to buy a can for 4 times that from a service station).

Morning
So I didn't sleep very well on Friday night (got about 4 hours). Had to get up early to go to OH's parents yesterday morning. Add that to a total of 5 hours travelling in a car and I was not feeling great last night. In short, I didn't get a lot done on the money front. I earned about £6 on the questions in the end. That's why I hate going to his parents. It means I have a lot to catch up on now.
It cost us £40 in diesel to get up there and back (I think there are around 80 miles left in the tank), not helped by the fact that when we went out they insisted on taking my car (to save them petrol no doubt). We then paid for the meal (which I do not remember getting a thank you for) which cost us just under £30 (not bad considering there were 4 of us - good old Wetherspoons).
To top it all off, they are coming to stay in a couple of weeks for 2 nights. One of their brothers or BILs has cancer, so they want to come down and see him. Fair enough, but they are a strange family. They hardly ever see each other (couple of times a year if that) and they are always so rude about their family members, calling them this that and the other. Anyway, their visit also just so happens to coincide with OH's payday, so no doubt they will expect another free meal.
Sorry, moan over!! Must get my nebuliser out of the way and get on with some work.
Be back later

Glad you are safely back and gradually getting over the trauma of the visit.
To be honest I'm appalled at the meanness of these people :eek:who must realise that they are in a massively better financial position than their son. It beggars belief why they don't 'pick up the tab' when you are staying with them. I must be old fashioned but when anyone visits us we pay for the meals out and treats and if they invite us in return then they pay.
Can't your OH have a tactful word with them? The last straw was that given the amount of fuel you had to use to visit them anyway they still had the nerve to expect you to use more by ferrying them around.
At least you can relax for a while:j until they descend on you to stay.0 -
I would refuse to take them out, and say that you'd like to cook them something special instead. Then cook something awfulDebt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0
