Not sure what it is you're having done to your teeth Emz? I had mine veneered about 4 years ago. The consultation was free and was great as you get sent away with a photo of what your new teeth will look like :). I spent the whole train journey back from London looking at that photo :o

I just bunged it on a CC (those were the days! :o) but if I remember correctly there were various 0% finance options available.

Obviously that is something you might not want to get into but thought it was worth mentioning x

    Thanks Beccie.

I'm not too sure what needs to be done yet. I've got a check-up soon, so I might ask my dentist what he thinks would improve them. I know it can't be done on the NHS, but I think he can do it privately. I know they were offering a full whitening treatment for £199, so that could be a possibility, but I think I need more than that.

I had mine whitened before having the veneers done as I only had veneers done on the front four, so the others needed to match.

I have to say I was already a thousand times happier with them just having them whitened so that's a good place to start :)

I definitely think it will help Beccie.

Had a good day money-wise. I went into my lettings agent ready to pay my £60 renewal fee and they were adamant that I've already paid it. I didn't want to argue, so I've got my signed renewal contract :).

I took my mum out for a carvery at lunch, just to treat her. It only cost £15, but I've just won £10 on the free JPJ game, so will get some of that back.

Off to see that film shortly. Not looking forward to it really, it looks like a real 'lads' film. Luckily, it's under 2 hours long.

    Thanks GRC :D

That film (The Last Stand) was rubbish!! Well, my OH and the bloke sat next to me seemed to enjoy it and I heard a guy say 'that was great!' on the way out, so I can only conclude that it was a true 'guy's movie' and that's why I hated it. Wasn't the worst film I have ever seen (that award goes jointly to Tropic Thunder and Anchorman!), but it definitely wasn't great.

Question for you all. Does it mean I'm getting old if I buy a cardigan from M&S?? I saw one for £18 in the outlet by the cinema before we saw the movie. It had shoulder pads , but they were removable, so I bought it. I'm only 31 and don't feel ready to be shopping at M&S, but my favourite shop Jane Norman has really gone to pot recently and I was in desperate need of some new cardigans. Please reassure me and tell me that you all go to M&S all the time!! ;)

I usually buy Per Una bits n bobs at the outlet.
I hate trailling round shops & mostly per una bits n bobs work well for me & they do short length jeans.

Thanks Lou :). I think I'll have to broaden my horizons when it comes to buying clothes.

Just got some free tickets to see I Give It A Year next week. Must be better than last night's movie.

    Hi Emz,

I too am happy you've stayed on here. I also read a couple of other diaries of people just trying to live within their means while paying some debt off and I think you qualify there to keep you out of fraud territory. It's also nice to also read of someone living life and chipping away at debt too.

Cardigans are a long way from the granny things we used to get. I've seen some M&S cardi's and I don't think they're aging!

I also find M&S great value at the moment. There's an outlet near me and one on my way to work that opens at 7am so I got most of my work outfits for this year in there. They're one place who don't stock room the good stuff away when they have a sale on!
