I live in an old house converted into flats.
My flat number is 8 but the HOUSE number is 11.
When I first moved in and tried to register for Noddle I couldnt because my flat number didnt exist on the Post Office database (I think thats what it called).
So Noddle advised me to email the post office here :
addressmaintenance@royalmail.com
and my address appeared within 7 days - try this to see if it helps.
Hi i have contacted royal mail and they are going to mark the addresses in the sorting office stand.
I asked for a letter or something explaining the mess with the post to show the tribunal and the man said that he was not allowed to.
Who do i ask for a statement to show that there is a problem with the address.
And will i get backdated money if i win as i have borrowed so much and wont be able to afford to pay it back.
So stressed.:mad:0 -

Ask for any statistics they have on complaints of missing letters from your postcode, and surrounding ones.
Similarly, you might do a request to the council about any address complaints, or statistics on allegations of lost mail from that postcode.
If your appeal is successful, then you get all money backdated.0 -

Thanks for the advice but i have looked at that site and the reply's take about 21 days. Way to long for me, but i will ask for statistics anyway.0 -

The OPS address already appears on the PAF database
this is an isue at the point of delivery0 -
Custardy,
It DIDNT appear BEFORE I emailed Royal Mail.
Becaused I did email them it now DOES appear.
THATS GREAT! (no idea what the caps are for)
now for the hard of thinking
The OP(thats the original poster if you are unsure) has an address that is already on the PAF database
So its neither relevant to them or what happened to you.0 -
so using 10/16 is a false start
I disagree.
Flat 10
16, Any Road
Anyleigh
Anyshire
AA1 2BB
was how my address was recorded all the time I lived there and I never had reason to suppose any post went missing.
In the case of the OP, if his address actually is 7 The Street (ie as in my first example) then the postman is at fault in not delivering to this correct address.
Indeed I would say that it is the people in Argyle Court
not recording their addresses as 1, 2, 3 etc Argyle Court 7 The Street etc that is causing the problem!
And I would still recommend taking up the matter with the owner of the blocks/the Council!0 -
i have same problem here where the sign is on my fence says another road im in another and the postman delivers some of my post to a different house yesterday he delivered a letter here for someone across the road0

Well here is an update:
My MP has emailed decision maker advising them to make another reconsideration instead of going to tribunal. They have agreed to the reconsideration. Does that mean its in my favour and how long does it take to reconsider?
Without MP's help i would never have got this far. I advise anybody in the same circumstances to get help from there local MP.
Thanks for all advice and i will update outcome from reconsideration.0 -
I disagree.

but thats a completely different format to your original post
you are segregating the flat from the building number
you originally posted flat 10/160
