Afternoon Diary,
Thanks for the kind messages. Had a hectic start to the week.
DD was sick in the night Sunday night, so all my plans got slightly tricky. Had to drop her off at Grannies for an hour this morning as DS had his play to perform in school and could'nt take DD in after being sick.
After the play, I picked her up and we went into town to bank a couple of cheques and get a slow puncture fixed on the car.
I am affraid I messed up and went back to my old ways a little in town. I took DD into a toy shop and bought DS a pack of novelty top trumps for £5.99 for doing so well in the play and DD got a teddy for £7.99 :mad::mad:. That is one of my old bad habits - buying bits and bobs for the children without a MAJOR reason. That was £13.98. I used to do something like that once or twice a week . You can see why I am so broke now
.
SO.......I have decided that I have gotten into a bad habit of not posting on here everyday. Being without the internet for so long, I have slipped out of my routine of, First thing in the morning, coffee, balance spreadsheet, 1/2 hour of MSE, then get on with my jobs.
Not logging in here is letting me forget my situation and blindly spending without thinking of EVERY penny.
So from today onwards I PROMISE I will logg in here and get back into my routine. I have to. I looked at my spreadsheet today and I could have done MUCH better in MARCH. Its not been a great month and I feel like I have had abit of a setback.
I must get back to @baying again to make some extra money. I had so many hassles with it during early March, with people claiming their parcel had'nt arrived, claiming things were'nt as described etc. I got abit fed up with it. But I must try again.
Ok enough gabbling now, got some chocolate muffins in the oven and then got to pick up Ds from school.
Hope you are all having a good Monday. Will speak tomorrow xxx0 -
Hi Steph
Glad to see you back
Dont knock yourself up for spending a few pound. The fact that you feel bad about it shows you are on the right track. Keep going and get back on the ebay train. I have over 3000 feedback hard earned at times and a few extra grey hairs too:)
There are times I have felt the same as you and feel like chucking the whole thing in. I have felt like its so annoying and not worth it.... but you take a break and you get over it and start again. Its a brilliant feeling when the money hits the bank account. Makes it all worthwhile:):):)
Keep posting.0 -
Afternoon Deserted Diary.
I have been so bad. I made a promise to come back on here every day and then DID'NT :mad::mad:.
Unfortunately it is the bank account looking no so great that has bought me back here again.
I have been paying all my bills, and paying to bill chunks from my Littlewoods catalogue which was my first biggie to tackle, but I have been miscellaneous (sp) spending again, especially with the children off school, and with a tight budget it does'nt take much recklesness to ruin it all.
So I am back, and going to try my best to be here more often.
Off to read some diaries and speak soon.

Have just updated my signature and re-done the snowball calculator
.
I have printed off the snowball calculation and I have decided to keep it with me at all times and make sure I follow its payment plan.
I knew it was going to take me until the end of 2014 to pay it all off and that is still the same thankfully. I am going to cross off each months payments so I can see my progress and hopfully that will keep me on track.
I haven't included the overdraft on the snowball calculator and that appears to be my nemesis :(.
I think I have accepted that if I try my best to stick to my budgeting spreadsheet and paying off my snowball agreed amounts to my debts then the overdraft will sort itself out after I have paid off most of my debts.
I have been trying to sort that out as one of my first priorities and it just isn't happenning.
I have £800 per month to throw at debt, (as long as I budget carefully) so it will only take a month or two to kill the OD once my debts are clear.
Think the OD has always been my stumbling block so am ignoring it for a while.
Hope my plan works0 -
Nice to see you back Steph... I too have been awol and forgetting that I'm a reformed character financially.
Good luck getting everything sorted out. At the moment my dfd is Jan 2016 bit I'm aiming for end of next year.Ninja Saving Turtle0
