    Good Morning Steph,

Just wanted to ask...Did you get it? Is it gone? :rotfl:

Hope you are okay and haven't done anything drastic with that shotgun :rotfl:

  • Morning Diary,

Wow been so busy lately. What with being ill, children off on half term holiday and feeding orphan lambs, life got a little bit crazy.

Still moneysaving. I balanced my spreadsheet this monring and was please to see that I have only strayed a couple of times with unplanned spending, and this was not frivilous tuff, it was bird feed and a new heat lamp bulb for the lambs.

I really think I need to start a savings account for The Farm side of things. I haveto buy the odd things for that but I don't class it as WANTS, because it will pay off when I end up with a freezer of premium meat.

This friday I have to spend £31.25 on 25 day old chicks, but they will grow into 25 big fat chickens which will feed my family for the rest of the year. So its swings and roundabouts.

Have started digging my veg plot. I planted 6 rhubarb plants that I have had in pots, waiting for my veg plot to be made.

I have ordered some seed potatoes and I am hoping to get growing this year. Have to be careful though as it can end up being very expensive setting up a veg plot.

Hubby is going to make me some raised beds out of some floorboards we already have. A friend with two horses has said I can have as much of her horse muck as I want. I just need to find some cheap topsoil. Our soil here is very wet and heavy clay, so raised beds are unavoidable unfortunately.

Hope everyone is well. Sorry I have been absent, and I promise to catch up and reply to everyones diaries.

My college course starts this Wednesday, Crickey, think thi year is going to be a busy one

Good to hear you in fine fettle today, Steph! I've always been the same with half-terms and stuff...done so much this morning, yet last week could hardly think, never mind focus! Good stuff about your TA course...go for it -- hope you find it enjoyable and worthwhile! :-)

  • Hi Steph .... sorry I've not been around for a while .... sorry to hear you've not been well & really hope you're better now.

I can't believe hubby has managed to save that much up so quickly  and I'm afraid it would be p'ing me off a fair bit that he can do it for something he wants but not to help the family out  (sorry!) .....

Well done to the new c/card & ouch to those bank charges!

Must fly - I've about 100 threads to catch up on:eek:
