    Hi Steph.

you are allowed to moan! it is your diary! self employment is a nightmare isn't it. so annoying about your car but at least you have a saving & you'll get seom money back.

i just want to give you a big hug & make it all better for you.

always here for you :) x

Thanks LL. I needed that virtual hug :)

Its seems to be one of those weeks where I am finding all hard to brush off.
I will definately not do what I have done in the past, and just give up budgeting etc.
It almost makes me even more determined, it feels like there is some evil force out there trying to ruin everything and is testing me :rotfl:. I sound like a real fruit loop.

Have got about 6 miles to walk today .

Got to walk and get some milk and then later on I have to walk a 4 mile round trip to pick the kiddies up. Unfortunately the milk is in the opposite direction to the children.

Plan on walking to get the milk at 1pm, and then think I need to leave at 3pm to get the children. Phew. Going to be more exercise than I have done in years :o
  • Phew...Back from getting the milk. Its not far, probably 1.1/2 mile round trip. Dog loved her walk, and got very muddy.

I got all OCD when we got in and insisted she wait on the mat while I got an old towel to dry her feet :). I only mopped yesterday ;).

Got an 1.40 mins before got to set off to pick up the children. I was tempted to drive, but I really should'nt. The noise coming from the car will probably be more embarrassing that being seen walking my children home 2 miles :o. I am hoping they will see it as an adventure :).

Will have my coffee and go and put the washing away. Not sure I am going to have the time to re-arrange DD bedroom today. Don't want it wrecked and then run out of time.

    Theres always tomorrow ;)
  • Today is offically a horrible day :(

Hubbys just called me on his lunch break. He has started on a loft conversion today, and the guy has just said that he wants to pay hubby a week in hand .

If he does this, we are straight back in the poop like we were before my LBM. :(

Hubby has gone to chat to the guy to see if he can sort it out. I guess people do this to make sure that the builder does'nt walk off the job. But why would he do that?. We need the work :(.

I don't like to say how many bills would bounce this month if we lost a weeks wage.

I am so angry with the customer and myself, I am sat here in tears. I feel sorry for hubby having to go back to the customer and state virtually how poor we are that we can't pay the mortgage unless he pays weekly.

God when it rains it pours...

Yet again I REALLY hate it that I haven't got a job. But with no childcare help in the holidays I feel completely stuck. Living in the country there isn't tonnes of different playcentres I could put my children in, and the ones that we do have are miles away and about £20 per child per day.

    Aaaarrrgggghhhhh

That is rubbish, no wonder you are having a bad day. I really hope that your husband can talk them round. Just keep thinking if how much debt you have paid off since your LBM. You are doing great and would have way much more debt if you hadn't taken it in hand x

  • Thanks for your kind words everyone. Wow have had a very weird topsy turvy day.

Hubby came home and has thankfully sorted it with the chap, and we are back to being paid weekly as normal. :j PHEW........

I was so upset this afternoon. Looking on my budget sheet it would have wiped out any progress I had made with the overdraft and February would have just been a wasteland of bounced direct debits with all the bank charges that go with it .

It just felt so depressing, like no matter how hard I try, we can never get out of it.

Well, as usual in my crazy life, the wind has changed and all is well again.

Hubby came home with the good news and straight away went to the garage and fixed the brakes :T. What a fab husband I have :kisses2:.

I sometimes get very down on him as I feel its only me that does all the money worrying, but it seems I have realised that he has his own practical way of helping out and getting things sorted. Think we make a good team :).

Have sorted out the spreadsheet after our scare and are back on track, for now. Fingers crossed we get no more excitement like that for a few months and I might actually feel like I am winning the war. ;)

Thanks for all your understanding words after my day of ranting and weeping :o

  • Morning Diary,

Today is going to be a POSITIVE day :T.

I am so sorry for being so negative this last week, I haven't been able to roll with the punches as well as usual and have been overly venting on my diary. :o

Poor Ds was up all night last night being sick. I feel like I saw every hour knelt in the bathroom rubbing his back :(.

So my plans for today are slightly postoned due to a mixture of Ds being home and me being sleep deprived..

Hubby fitted the new brake Caliper & pads last night, so I have the old one to return and two cheques to bank.
Will see how Ds is later as to wether we venture out. He seems fine this morning but has'nt eaten anything yet.

Hope you all have a good day, thank heavens its Friday :T
