Hi Housework Fairy,
He seems ok today, he has gone off sledging with the lad and his sisters so bridges rebuilt hopefully. Ds does tend to bottle things up and let them hurt his self-esteem, but I am learning that sometimes things happen to your children that you just can't control or prevent.
Have factored the over spend into the budget, am hoping that maybe I might might make enough on #bay sales tomorrow to cover my un-scheduled pub visit and my #bay fees. Fingers Crossed.
Having a nice chill out day with DD, we made snowmen, sorry - Snowgirls this morning and now we are relaxing watching Rio on the telly under a blanket.
Nothing much else to report.
Hope you are all having a warm in front of the fire sort of day.:)0 -
Glad DS is feeling better about it all today!
We also built a snowoman today! It's way too curvy to be a snowman! :rotfl: XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Evening Diary.
Weather has'nt been too bad today. No snow and our snow-women have collapsed and are melting.
60% chance of more snow tomorrow afternoon, but not sure how much.
Had a fun night last night. We went for dinner at a friends house and did'nt get home till late.
Had a lazy day today. Had 31 items finishing on Ebay. Sold about 22 of them and have been weighing and packaging all afternoon.
After Ebay fees past & present that I have accrued. I should have £100 to send to my bank account. :T
Even got £5 for a broken camera.
Not much else to report, just cooking some lamb chops, so will check in abit later.
Hope you have all had a lovely weekend

Morning Diary
Thanks PLMBL & Fifty. I am going to have to take the parcels to the bigger town by us, thankfully I have a cheque to bank as well. The woman at the little local post office gets sniffy at me if I take my #bay parcels to her. she reckons I should not use the prepay postage set up on #bay and should buy it from her.
I guess she is right, but its soooo much less hassle to do it through #bay and it also comes straight out of Paypal, so I know what money I have actually made.
Not alot to report today.
Paid another months council tax. Unfortunately to be able to catch up I am going to have to make a payment in Feb & March. But at least I will be up to date before the new Council Tax year starts ...Phew was worried about that one.
So have managed to make £100 on #bay and also leave enough in Paypal to cover the final fees. This felt good as the fees had added up to nearly £70 , and really did'nt want that extra bill coming out of my budget.
Still got around 12 items for sale but they are relists so might not sell. Keep nagging hubby to search through the shed for any tools or stuff he does'nt need. Almost everything has a value.
If I can keep finding stuff to sell then that really helps the account perk up.
Anyway enough yabbing. Off to tidy up xx0 -
Afternoon diary.
Been a topsy turvey day so far.
Hubby ended up home today as he has just finished one big building job and is about to start another.
In his wisdom he decided to get a few odd jobs for people done today and tomorrow. But doing my calculations it looks like we will be around £200 down on what he usually earns this week..
I have just earnt around £150 from #bay sales and i am struggling to try and be positive. Thinking that, its good that I sold those things as we would be much worse off otherwise, but all I can feel is annoyed that all those sales haven't actually improved the spreadsheet much as hubbys lower wage has cancelled it out.
Am I being too negative???.
Well while hubby was driving into big town to get some parts for the job, he dropped me in small town so I could post all my #bay sales, bank a cheque etc.
Saved on fuel doing both our jobs together :money:.
I had a little look in M&Co on my way back and managed to buy Ds & DD a pair of jeans each reduced down from £16 to £4.30 :T.
Even though I can't really afford it, I want to try and get the odd clothing bargain when I see it, to save on having to do a big expensive splurge at once.
Hope everyone is doing well, thankfully the snow is melting away here now. There are threats of more to come but fingers crossed it will miss us x0 -
Oooh forgot some things.....
Car went in the garage today to get checked over as my brakes are really lumpy (Hard to explain). Well it turns out my Rear brake caliper is seized on.
So I need a new caliper and brake pads. Hubby is forgiven from not earning much this week as he reckons he can get cheap parts and fit them himself :T:T:T. Men do have their uses
Have nothing in the budget for this, but can only be positive and thankfull that we don't have to pay for labour charges.
Oh no just looked out the window and its bloomin snowing
again .
One last thing, you may have seen that I was trying to find a cheap ceiling pulley airer for my utility so I could stop using the tumble.
Have spotted hubby is starting to make one in the shed :j:j:j

Morning Diary.
Feel like I am struggling abit as we near the end of January. I knew it was'nt going to be easy, but it does feel like such an uphil struggle sometimes. I can quite understand how I gave up last time.
A friend that works at a car repairs place has offered to get the parts for the car with his discount. So instead of £180 it will now cost us £124 :T. It all helps.
Not going to be able to buy the parts this week though. Hubby is off working on a small job again today, but as they are one off small jobs, we have to invoice them, and you never know how long they are going to take to pay.:o
I have worked out that even if they pay next week we will still default on 4 bills. (Water, Tv License, Credit Card dd & Mobile phone)We are £113 short .
Thats what I hate about the situation we are in now, as if hubby has even a slightly lower wage one week it hits us REALLY hard. It should'nt be that tenuous.
I suppose its early days and its going to be a while before the setbacks stop really hurting.
On the plus side, I do have quite a few things on Ebay that could be of value and hubby has some scrap metal that we need to weigh in. These two things might hopefully get the £113 back in the bank and keep us out of trouble.
Just got to hope that these two customers pay next week. Eeek
Sorry to start my day stressing, but thats all I seem to do nowadays. Stare at the budget and stress out0
