  • Thanks for replying.

Out of debt at last = I will look into getting the airers - I am sure that the tumble drier is the main thing thats costing the money.

Money Mayhem = Hi, thanks for replying. We don't have any gas, we have just the electric and oil central heating. We live in rural Dorset so are lacking extra stuff like gas and cable etc.

I am going to have to look at our usage. An extra £60 per month kills off alot of the money saving I have already done, which is annoying. but I guess I need to change that attitude and look at it more that we would have been even worse off if I had'nt been cutting costs elsewhere.

Debt busting really is a hard battle

Your totally right it is a really hard battle, I learn something new everyday from this site!

  • Evening Diary,

Hmmm hubby is now claiming that we do not have enough space in the utility room to hang a ceiling airer even though I am certain that we do..

He suggested that I use a normal free-standing airer in the downstairs bathroom, trouble is, this bathrrom is the coldest room in the house so nothing is going to dry in a hurry in there. I am also a little OCD about the house looking nice, and I feel that if someone see's washing hanging in the utility room it is more acceptable than seeing my knickers drying in the bathrrom :).:)

    Bloomin husbands

Back to the drawing board slightly. I will NOT be beaten.

Not much going on in the Stressed household tonight. hubby is watching football, so I might take a photo of a digibox I have and put it on Ebay.

    Or

I might sit and stare at my spreadsheet trying to find a way to cut back something that is already down to the bone. :o

Hope everyone is well, I am slowly catching up with everyones diaries etc.

Boy it is good to be online again. :T

   .

Just made my last £300 payment to L1ttlewoods this month. Thats £600 paid this month. Not even my minimum payment, but just cannot pay what they are asking.
Am hoping that showing regular large payments will be ok and the worse I will get is their usual £12 late payment fee.

Thats now 8% of my total debt been paid :T

Going to record my bank balance at the end of each month as a way of showing how I am reducing my overdraft. Am hoping to have knocked off £1000 by the end of January.
I will still be £2000 OD but better than £3000 that I was in December .
  • Morning Diary,

Hubby and I have had such an expensive week with fuel :(. I budget for £20 each a week, but we have both had to double that this week. All unavoidable journeys (Hospital, Children Drs, Work etc). Annoying though :o.

Got to list a couple more items onto Ebay this morning, I am running out of things to sell which is a shame. Must get more ruthless.
I do have lots of party shoes that I might be able to sell, but I worry I will sell them and then need to buy more. don't want that to happen.

I totted up that I made £600 this month on Ebay and C#shforgold sales :T. Not able to keep that amount going as have run out of stuff. I would like to make about £100 per month though if I can. I haven't started on the childrens stuff yet. DD has a few B#den dresses that will sell.

I am annoyed at myself for all DD clothes I have given away to people in the past. She had tonnes of posh clothes and hardly worn shoes. I could have made lots of money for them.
(That was the old me being too over generous when I was probably worse off than the people I was giving them too :o)

Have managed to set us up with some insurances to cover us in case of diasters etc.

Hubby now has Accident & Sickness (£1000 pm payout)

We both have Critical illness and if either of us dies, the other gets the mortgage paid off, and small lump sum and £1000 per month until our youngest is 21.

The joy of this costs £120 per month , BUT....I am such a worry wort. Hubby is self-employed, I am not working. If an accident happenned we would lose everything, especially with the debts we have.

I have factored it all into the spreadsheet and it works ok. Obviously when the debt is gone, there are no worries about affording it.
It works out at £4.26 per day, does'nt sound too bad when you say it like that ;)

Anyway, not going to be a NSD for me today as got to get some medicine we have run out of later. Nevermind, have been doing well so far.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Have just been reading through your diary and well done on getting so far in so little a time!!! I think your signature is looking great (the bits I can understand anyway!) and it must be very motivating to update it often!

No sure if I shall be making a diary but I do have a paper diary to write all our outgoings in etc, we arent in a bad way and so I'm hoping a good 6 months of less spending and we'll be able to clear some of the bills and cards and start saving money. Will see how I go, having a diary here might help when I start to flag maybe but reading yours have totally given me a boost!! Fab job!

Oh and can I be cheeky and get some info about the Kindle books please? x

    Hi Steph,
I sold a lot of my party shoes off a while ago. Shoes sell well on eB*y in my experience. I still have a couple of pairs left, but I can honestly say I don't miss the rest (yes, I had a lot of shoes . . . yes that is a contributing factor to my debts :rotfl:)

  • Thanks for the kind words LL, miclare & Karmachi,

Have just listed 27 items onto #bay. One item might make £100 but the rest is just tat that I will be happy to get £2 for each item.

Am annoyed to see that I have £47.50's worth of #bay fees to pay. Guess most of that was from the jewellery I sold that came to a few hundred pounds. Everything I am listing at the moment is mostly free.

Have done these items on 3 day listings, hoping that they finish over the weekend to get more traffic and also so that I can hopefully get some money in my paypal account to cover the #bay listing fees.

Don't think I have any ornaments left now :rotfl:

miclare - Thanks for the nice words about my signature. Most of the abbreviations at the bottom are different challenges I am on. They all help to keep me motivated.
I find a diary on here really helps as it makes you log in and read other inspiring stories that keep you on the straight and narrow.
Will pm you about the kindle xx

Karmachi - I must go through my shoe collection and be abit more ruthless. I can lose some but leaving them till last :o:o:o
