I know, just shows how they try to take advantage of people who might not totally know the value of their gold and are desperate . Thanks for posting xx

I have been having a look at my spreadsheet. :o
I can't decide what to do.

I wanted to get rid of my N#xt and L1ittlewoods catalogues quickly, and have been paying £200 & £600 respectivley off each month. They would then be gone by late spring.

    BUT...

I does'nt make my £3000 overdraft look much better. :(

So I have decided to reduce my catalogue payments to £100 & £300, so that I can kill off the OD.
Both the OD and the catalogue will then be gone by late summer / Early autumn.

I think this makes better financial sense, even though it does'nt feel so rewarding. I have been paying £36 interest and £75 charges for being in and over my overdraft so the quicker it is gone the better.

    Its such a juggling act.

It will be nice once I get to the late summer and then I just have the two big Credit cards to pay off. they only ask for a small minimum payment every month, so my over payments will look REALLY impressive.

Aaargh its only January and I am already wishing the year away. I have the learn to enjoy life during my debt busting year so that I don't waste 2013 :o;)

I think she means the summary in your SOA in your first post
    The totals don't come back
    £3296 less £2344.50 less £779 equals £172.50 not £672.50

It looks like the figure for debt repayments is wrong and should be £279 rather than £779 - this will give the surplas of £672.50
  • Hi Steph fab news on the gold ... just shows what chancers they are to start with tho'!

I'm wishing the year away already too - Jan's pay is already accounted for, then it's another 5 week one until payday in Feb  so that'll be me skint again (I don't do so well in the 5 week months :o) so it's already March before I've any money spare!

The figure for the repayments is correct if you add everything up .... the surplus is wrong

I think what's maybe happened is it Steph has added in Next (£200) and Littlewoods (£300) later on which has changed the repayment figure but not the totals

The amount left after debt repayments should be £172.50

  • Evening all,

Yay I am finally connected to the internet :j:j:j:j:j.

Sorry I missed the debate about my old soa.

Yes I did forget to add N#xt and L1ttlewoods onto my soa in the beginning and added it on afterwards. That explains my mistake on the amount left over.

The N#xt £200 and L1ttlewoods £300 are both massive over-payments, so once those two bills are gone (about June 2013). I will then have that £672.50 to throw at the debts.

I am seriously guarding my budget at the moment but have had two VERY annoying bills come in today.

Np0wer Electric £331  Increasing my DD to £221 pm
Have done a comparison website and Np0wer still came up cheapest, so have switched tarriffs, so DD should come down to £161 pm. Still dreadful, am going to be looking at our usage to try to cut it all down.

BT Final business account bill £249 .
Have found out that if you don't use £500 per year on the account, you get charged the difference :(. As I have cancelled the account they have charged me. Soooo glad this has all been cancelled.

So somehow, I have got to factor these extra bills into my already tight budget.:mad:.

It just feels like an all out war sometimes. I am trying to keep hold of my money and companies everywhere are trying to take it off me and winning most of the time. Grrrrrrr

Wow I needed that rant. Been without my diary for 4 days and its built up :rotfl:.

Off to get kiddies sorted and will check out some diaries xxx
