No, it's the old jobcentre plus direct number
Phoning that number is the same applying through the adviser's LMS
It’s agreed that you are complaisant in your application because you must have browsed the details for the job via the JCP job-points or the gov.uk/jobs-jobsearch to phone the number and reference the job.
They also ask for your NI number.0 -
So if you call and then get deatails of a job you have already applied 4 times over the last year they can't make you apply again as there is no point. Surely if you have no idea where the job is you can say it's too far or if it's in the wilderness and you can not get to it the same thing or if you have worked there before or applied to them many times these are reasons not to apply. Never has anyone said anything to me about jobs I have called about at the JC.No, it's the old jobcentre plus direct number

The JCP Job points are already localised by default.
If the location of the job you inquired for via 0845 606 0234 had no public transport available to it from your home, you probably could decline but remember the DWP are sanction happy (guilty until proved innocent) so it still might go to the decision maker until you proved it.
BTW I’m not being intentionally argumentative, it’s just that’s the type of logic those mofo's operate on.0 -

Who is looking for a local job? Why do people think 1 mile is a good distance? I am talking resonable travelling distance not 100 miles on a bus or something.
the site does not work as I put in my postcode and search 10 miles and it gives me jobs in IPSWICH which is over 70 miles away so not fool proof and if you had no idea where it was cause it just my say London, or Essex. That could be anywhere between west London and say SouthendWe’ve had to remove your signature.
