exactly. if they dont agree with your reason for not applying they will obviously refer you for sanction. that is why i said a while ago to just apply for everything it matches you with, suitable or not.Nuisance91 wrote: »If thats what you believe then fair enough but Im just going by what Ive read from other job seekers about them being referred to a decision maker after giving reasons for not applying on UJ.0 -
well yeah. you cant really leave until they have finished with you. well you can but its not recomended. that is why before getting up and leaving i always ask, is that everything. With a dropped face he said i could go now and see me in 2 weeks. ( do i need permission to leave now. )0 -

A better idea would be to not sign up I think.0 -
OAP’s can’t be forced to drink only one brand of (mythically approved) governmental tea with their pensions, therefore jobseekers can’t be forced to use the signed-up features of Universal Jobmatch over other the sites that offer the same services as UJM’s signed-features, otherwise they’re only filling a DWP quota and promoting a monopoly.
I’d hazard to say that even employment agency sites are safer than UJM, your CV is just seen by only 1 employer, which is the agency, who in-turn has thousands of clients.
Putting your CV on semi-open platform (it doesn’t take genius to register as an employer) like UJM is batshit crazy, even if you redact all but your name email and employment history, a few phone calls made to the (bright-sparks) in the payroll departments of my ex-employers and its kerching for the identity fraudsters.
Use Universal Jobmatch just as you would with the old jobcentre plus site and if they pull the old adviser’s direction trick for registration point out you are signed up to other providers who offer the same signed-in services
There’s plenty of evidence (FOI requests from the DWP and press releases from the PCS/Channel4) for you to printout as evidence
BTW I knew this guidance to JCP staff sounded familiarYou will play a crucial part in promoting and encouraging take up of Universal Jobmatch.

yes but they know that people dont want the stress and hassle and will just give in. the best thing to do is just take the p**s out of them just like they are of you. so just apply for everything it matches you to and therefore waste the time of the employers who advertise with them. use 2 different cvs a good one for the suitable jobs and a rubbish one missing your phone number for the unsuitable ones. also it seems all they are doing is asking people to register and give permission but they are not checking to see if they are keeping it that way. so its simple, register, give them permission and then a week later uncheck the box that gives them permisson.Nuisance91 wrote: »A better idea would be to not sign up I think.0 -
You are missing the point. Yes register but do not give permission to have your personal details spread over the internet to any bogus employers to take advantage of. The dwp will then sanction you for one thing you do wrong if you sign the little box. Believe me they can not force you to sign your rights away. Stand up for yourself and you will see.donnajunkie wrote: »yes but they know that people dont want the stress and hassle and will just give in. the best thing to do is just take the p**s out of them just like they are of you. so just apply for everything it matches you to and therefore waste the time of the employers who advertise with them. use 2 different cvs a good one for the suitable jobs and a rubbish one missing your phone number for the unsuitable ones. also it seems all they are doing is asking people to register and give permission but they are not checking to see if they are keeping it that way. so its simple, register, give them permission and then a week later uncheck the box that gives them permisson.

You do not need to register at all. I have not been told to do so at my JC and I am sure if it was UNIVERSAL (pardon the pun) with EVERYONE on benefits then we would all have had a letter on DWP paper and a new job seekers agreement to sign and since we have not been given this I can only assume all the people posting photos of letter have been drafted by the jc they attend and are no offical.
I use the site and apply for jobs there but since this new site went live the search criteria I use has had zero extra jobs added and the same old ones are there and nothing onlder than a few weeks. Its like all older jobs vanished when this new site started.
Anyway I will join when they make me.

i have noticed something new on the site in the last few days. every job i find requires you to register to get the application details. this will put plenty off from useing the site altogether i think. the aim of course is to get more people registering which they may do but overall there will be less people useing the site compared to when you didnt need to register.0
