i have noticed something new on the site in the last few days. every job i find requires you to register to get the application details. this will put plenty off from useing the site altogether i think. the aim of course is to get more people registering which they may do but overall there will be less people useing the site compared to when you didnt need to register.
They're stupid & can't help shooting themselves in the foot.

They can't help themselves using punitive measures on jobseeekers, which will just backfire.

Instead of creating a good optional website which does the job & works, they're driven by government ideology to get people signed up in crackdown mentality, which will put jobseekers & employers off.

the issue with the site is them tracking what you do. if you phone up and give them your details you are still enabling them to track what you do. therefore you might as well have just used the site.

Sorry don't have time to read through the whole thread but get the gist of it, Is it just me, as it seems that since this service has been changed the quantity and quality of jobs advertised seems to have been substantially deteriated.

If I was an an employer for typical ordinary jobs, this website would initially have been my first choice to advertise a vacancy but now would think "Why bother?"

An old saying springs to mind, "If it aint broke it don't need fixing"

So where does it say if you call up the number they can track your application?

I have called up before and then been told email addresses where I have said 'oh them again. I have applied to them 4 times already, thanks'

Or they use a hotmail address to which I say thanks and I do not apply as no REAL company would advertise with a hotmail address.

This is why you should not give away your rights of the data protection act. Just found this job in my area asking to email your driving licence ( both sides ) and sent to his gmail address, Dont think so somehow. I have deleted his email address but you can find the job on the site, I just dont know why they are letting so called employers on the site with hotmail and gmail addresses.
Have checked online to see if company exists. It doesnt. I shall take this job to the jobcenter next time and ask them why its allowed on the site. Any proper company would have their own email address so be warned.

    It's a mess, it's a shambles, it's chaos.

    There is no quality control.

Many, maybe most jobs are not categorised into job sectors as jobcentre used to do.

The search filters are rubbish and should have option to exclude external job boards & only display jobcentre jobs.

It is swamped by spam jobs from other external job boards like Monster.
