    Evening all

    Lagging behind as usual!

It's only just gone 8pm and I'm ready for my bed.
Started work at 7 this morning, what a shock to the system that was when the alarm went of before 6   The cycle in was refreshing to say the least, woke me up a bit! Will need to find a hat if I'm going to cycle again tomorrow though. Was great though because I got to finish at lunchtime so left with a big :D on my face.

Haven't done any shopping today, trying to resist the lure of chocolates and apgs, don't really need any more :rotfl:

So now having a cheeky wee drink while flicking between the darts and X Factor and doing a bit of online Christmas shopping

    Hope all is well :)

Reclusive:( back home with daily visits but he doesn't go out.....anywhere! But we're working on it. Small steps and all that. We'll get there in the end. Is nice having him home though. Thanks for asking:)

Oh fairclaire hope things improve :). One step at a time.

I could shame myself far easier than that. The chap looks the image of Mel from the TV series Benidorm.....so we've always referred to them as Mel and Madge.
Any of the hard stuff on offer and I'm almost certain to let slip:rotfl:

And my husband is worse than me....At a neighbours (a single lady) fiftieth a couple of years ago he'd had a few and when this little chap came up to him and asked where we'd got the desserts from, my hubby said they were in the back bedroom. Then added to be careful when reaching for the trifle as he'd accidently knocked against the bedside drawer and heard something start buzzing! He said he reckoned she'd forgotten to turn her whisk off ;);)

I could have died....OH didn't realise he was talking to the verger

We were well loved and happy though. :)

Yes, Father Christmas always came. In fact, I actually saw him flying through the sky once through my bedroom window and I went downstairs crying because I thought he wasn't going to come to our house. My mother gave me a Topsy tablet and I eventually fell asleep. I woke up in the morning and I knew that he had been because a very heavy stocking was at the end of my bed. It was full of fruit, nuts, a handkerchief and some chocolate.

Santa tended to pass our house without stopping......in fact he missed out most of the area where I lived. In a funny kind of way Christmas had more meaning then because we had plenty of grub in, people called in for tea and biscuits and the house was always warm at this time of the year:)

We sang carols, went to church and ate turkey sandwiches with HP sauce and lashings of Namosa tea at midnight on xmas eve but no santa!! That would have been the icing on the cake:rotfl::rotfl:

We were too poor to have a phone. :( We had a tv with only BBC1 on it though and a big wireless. Nobody had central heating just one coal fire for the whole house. We used to have frost on the inside of our windows and get dressed to go to bed, including hat, socks and jumpers. I think Dickens must have based many of his novels on our family!

Memories. I am youngest of eight and we shared 3 bedrooms with us 3 girls in one room at top of 3 storey house. One coal fire on ground floor so rooms heated from chimney going through the rooms. Not a sad story :). We appreciated everything we got and yes an orange in the stocking was exciting :)

    minus 25% discount - £11.98
    minus 2x £12 offer - £11.94
    to pay £24.02

    minus 2x £20ff£10 finest

Was thinking of doing this wine shop.
6 finest wines at £7.99 each.

    6 at 3 for £12.00 equals £36.00
    Minus £11.94
    equals £24.06
pay with Double up Reward of £20.00
    and 2 x £2.00 Finest voucher.
So 6p to pay for 6 finest wines.

    What do you think

I dont drink wine but it will be part of DS and fiancee's Xmas gifts.
