Was thinking of doing this wine shop.
6 finest wines at £7.99 each.

    6 at 3 for £12.00 equals £36.00
    Minus £11.94
    equals £24.06
pay with Double up Reward of £20.00
    and 2 x £2.00 Finest voucher.
So 6p to pay for 6 finest wines.

    What do you think

I dont drink wine but it will be part of DS and fiancee's Xmas gifts.

Try 8 wines and try using 6 x £2 finest coupons. If they won't take them then revert to six. Find young co that looks bored. Hth

It sounds like that Derek and Clive sketch where they outdid each other in being poor and having it tough and ended with one of them having to eat grit sandwiches :rotfl:

We were well loved and happy though. :)
This rings a bell with me...a very loud one. Did santa come to your house?

Yes, Father Christmas always came. In fact, I actually saw him flying through the sky once through my bedroom window and I went downstairs crying because I thought he wasn't going to come to our house. My mother gave me a Topsy tablet and I eventually fell asleep. I woke up in the morning and I knew that he had been because a very heavy stocking was at the end of my bed. It was full of fruit, nuts, a handkerchief and some chocolate.

In Mr A L@ng E@t@n today they had one of the podium style end of aisle tables, upon which were little booklets (about credit card size but square) with Santa on the front entitled 'Christmas coupons'.

Inside are Asda specific coupons for:
    50p off Sensations Nuts - valid 5th - 31st Dec
50p off Asda 'festive' creams (vanilla/caramel liqueur or extra thick raspberry/spiced clementine & sherry) - valid to 31st Dec
    75p off Innocent 900ml juice (orange/apple/tropical/apple & raspberry/orange & mango) - valid to 31st Dec
£1 off Nivea Express Hydration Primer 50ml (normal & combination or dry & sensitive) - valid to 31st Jan 2013
10p off Asda cut rosemary herb 25g - valid to 31st Dec
    50p off Ambrosia custard 1kg/Bisto Best 200g/Paxo S&O stuffing 340g/Branston pickle 520g - valid 1st Jan - 1st Feb 2013
50p off various Castello blue/white cheese - valid to 31st Dec
    10p off RC cola/diet/zero sugar/cherry cola 2ltr - valid to 24 Dec

I would post a pic but not sure how to do that. However, these are Asda branded and barcoded coupons so I doubt they would do that just for one store??

I love this, i think it's brilliant that people back in years use to get a few nuts and an orange etc and be over the moon with it. Could you imagine giving a kid that as their present at christmas in 2012

I'd have been devestated as a child if thats what i had got instead of all the furbys and hampsters in balls and yoyos etc etc. A lot of us don't realise how much we actually get anymore.

They also had separately a 'taste & try' for Oat So Simple pots - together with 20p off coupons - again Asda branded.
