Hi Locarr.
It's nice baking with young kids, isn't it, they absolutely love the whole experience. We had the Mary Berry cake last year and it was delicious.. :D

Have to go now - OH has "made" dinner. I made some ciabatta rolls earlier (bread machine!), so he has made garlic butter and re-heated the rolls, then done some soup from a packet. Can't wait to get a soup maker (no - I CAN't make soup in a saucepan, always ruin it somehow or it boils over etc etc)!

We were too poor to have a phone. We had a tv with only BBC1 on it though and a big wireless. Nobody had central heating just one coal fire for the whole house. We used to have frost on the inside of our windows and get dressed to go to bed, including hat, socks and jumpers. I think Dickens must have based many of his novels on our family!
