:eek:mortified:eek: Just realised I've inadvertently spent an APG voucher in T's today. On checking my receipt there's a coupon for £10.31 and it's come off after the As £5 off £40 voucher so it must have been the APG that I've printed at the same time:o

It must have scanned ok, because there was no problems with my large pile of coupons today. I feel really bad because it was the really nice SA I had the other day so I spotted her today and went to her again. She's really lovely and I hope she won't get in trouble for taking an APG...especially a fairly large one. Oh no...I feel bad:(

I don't think there is any chance that it "scanned ok". All £10+ vouchers have the same barcodes :(

In A's any £10+ vouchers bring up a price prompt for SA to manually enter the 4 digit reduction. I assume Ts would be set up the same or else it would refuse it altogether

i think there is a very strong possibility that your SA just keyed in the discount as non-scan :(

About six months ago I wombled or found a roll of what I thought was wrapping paper. Today I needed some wrapping paper for some wine and fingers for my Pilates teacher who is heavily preggers. My last session before Christmas thought be nice for a prezzie. She is due any day. Anyhow I opened the roll to find said wrapping paper was a poster. It looked ok so thought what the hell I will wrap them in that. Every little helps xx

I remeber Chatty Cathy and those awful walking dolls Purdy mentioned. They were very scary. I had a John Bull Printing Set one year which I loved but was fiddly to use.

In Mr A L@ng E@t@n today they had one of the podium style end of aisle tables, upon which were little booklets (about credit card size but square) with Santa on the front entitled 'Christmas coupons'.

Inside are Asda specific coupons for:
    50p off Sensations Nuts - valid 5th - 31st Dec
50p off Asda 'festive' creams (vanilla/caramel liqueur or extra thick raspberry/spiced clementine & sherry) - valid to 31st Dec
    75p off Innocent 900ml juice (orange/apple/tropical/apple & raspberry/orange & mango) - valid to 31st Dec
£1 off Nivea Express Hydration Primer 50ml (normal & combination or dry & sensitive) - valid to 31st Jan 2013
10p off Asda cut rosemary herb 25g - valid to 31st Dec
    50p off Ambrosia custard 1kg/Bisto Best 200g/Paxo S&O stuffing 340g/Branston pickle 520g - valid 1st Jan - 1st Feb 2013
50p off various Castello blue/white cheese - valid to 31st Dec
    10p off RC cola/diet/zero sugar/cherry cola 2ltr - valid to 24 Dec

I would post a pic but not sure how to do that. However, these are Asda branded and barcoded coupons so I doubt they would do that just for one store??

    Gggrrrr, wasted shop!
Serves me right though. I thought, after people had said about exchanging the FF that I would give it a try. So wonder up to CS after paying for goods, had my niece with me all ready primed, and asked if I could swap 2 of the items from the 3 for a tenner choc, as she had changed her mind which ones she wanted...Yes, no problem, I'll just need the third item and your receipt, as I will have to refund them all then put them back through separately.....Oh well, no APG for my last choc shop.

I remember my sister and I getting walkie talkie dolls....they were as big as us and were the scariest ruddy things ever!!!

They "walked" like they were wearing calipers and you made them "talk" by pulling a string on their back and they could have been talking swahili for all the sense they made :D

I had something similar you put disks into her back and she said things like 'You are my friend' 'Lets go for a walk' 'What is your name'

I also had a tiny tears doll and cabbage patch but way before them and more loved I had a golliwog that I used to push in the dolls pram and pushchair - my dad burnt it on a garden bonfire, I cried as I really loved it.:(:o

Purdy, that is making me laugh so much, I think I had the same one. We are probably both fluent in swahili :rotfl::rotfl:. Its a wonder we are not scarred for life they were scary looking things. I cant watch horror films like chucky, and I think thats why :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I love this, i think it's brilliant that people back in years use to get a few nuts and an orange etc and be over the moon with it. /QUOTE]

Well, this year, all my friends will be getting a soft & gentle deodorant and a packet of kleenex facial wipes. The ones I REALLY like are getting a large bottle of Robinsons blackcurrant or Orange pop.

My MIL is getting 6 bottles of bleach. What they all make of that is their problem. At least they get SOMETHING.
Wow JJ, you are doing what you promised and are turning into a nicer, better person and for that I commend you. It is not the cost of your gifts that matters, it is the fact that you think enough of your wide circle of friends to give them something.

From memory, the sg full price ended up as £1.89 and the wipes I think were a couple of quid each, so you pretty much are giving ALL your friends gifts worth £4 each. I wish my friends were that generous!!:D:D

From memory, the inflated Robinsons price in Tesco should also make your REAL friends extremely happy as they are a very expensive gift.

Not quite sure what to say about your gifts for the MIL.. Either, she is of a certain age where she might appreciate the thought, OR, you may wish to send SFSB a pm and we can discuss your gift to her and we can perhaps think of a nicer approach?:p:p
