How can we move forward when people won't admit what's happening is wrong?
The_White_Horse has just said its a neccesscity that innocent people die. How on earth is that right? How can you possibly move forward with eejits thinking that?
The fact both our PM and Obama came out and "condemned" the bus bomb - where no-one was killed, yet haven't said anything about the 13 year old boy who was killed at the library!
I fully understand the 'termination' of terrorists. However I do not stand by the actions where innocent civilians are being killed to do so.
So no innocents died in the war against Hitler and the Nazi's? Was Europe supposed to just sit back and let him take over in case an innocent was killed?????
Sometimes people are staggeringly naive.
the bus bomb was explicitly intended to kill innocent civilians.
If this 13 year old boy in the library even existed, he was not intentionally targetted. That is Hamas for you - they will hide bombs and missile launchers in libraries for this exact reason.0 -

Don't know the current body count but the last I heard the "terrorists" were not actually "winning" on that score."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

So you'd sit back and relax if a foreign power was building on your land and blocading your trade etc? I do wish you would see both sides and stop thinking with your emmotional self.0 -

This old argument is invalid for all thinking people. 2 developed similar powers going toe to toe is utterly different to a high tech bully taunting (building) and battering an impoverished population.
In 1976 alone there were 2500 IRA bomb and shooting incidents. Similar for decades. We did not routinely blow-up Belfast children.
Are you getting this yet?0 -

israel can't say "ok, keep bombing us we won't respond in case an innocent gets hurt".
No one is argueing for NO response.
Strewth!
It's about proportionality and not bleating when the resistance want to fire rockets at you after you've built on resistance fighters land and throttled thier economy.
Are people really this ill informed? What a worry.0 -
For many years I worked in the Tourist Industry and we carried many groups from Israel on our tours and they were the toughest clients to work with on this planet.
They openly said that to leave Israel safely they had to go by air as they did not trust any country within thousands of miles from their borders.
I personally found them a very arrogant race of people who were very difficult to work with.
Only my opinion of course.

is there a specific conclusion about how peace can be brought to the current conflict?0 -

There will be no peace in the area until the arabs learn to love their children more than they hate the jews:

this is garbage - how is a proper state supposed to protect it's citizens when the enemy firing is fighting guerilla style. bombing from hideouts in schools and hospitals? the response is more than proportionate.0 -
better to debate the future and what needs to be done to bring peace0
