What an oddly cowardly outlook you have. I've trained with the IDF btw, I've been a krav maga practioner for 20 years - the IDF's own hand to hand combat system. I'm not anti Israeli people.
I guess your own who thinks hi tech western tropps are heros, whilst prphaned truly heroic Afghan children are but nothing to you.
Whoah what super heros we have, using massivly more advance fire power to fight stone age peasants defending thier land, truly heroic dat one is, dohhh!
there are always casualties of war. it is a shame for these people, but then, if they got on with their lives, invested for the future and fed their people instead of shooting rockets into israel and dancing in the streets when people in the west are killed, none of this would happen.0 -

So you're saying it's OK to kill innocent people if it "gets the job done"?
A 6 year old boy was killed, doctors son. Are you honestly saying it's the kids fault where he lives and happened to be when the Israli's bombed near to where he was?0 -
The biggest casualties of war are always the innocent. One big reason why more politicians should try fighting in one before they decide to send the nations young into combat for little other than international ego polishing.0

it's not ok, but it is an unfortunate necessity. israel can't say "ok, keep bombing us we won't respond in case an innocent gets hurt".
they do what they can to minimise the loss. but it doesn't elimate the risk.
i wouldn't even believe those latest bbc tweets, they were forced to apologise yesterday for posting up "heartbreaking" images of Gaza, which were actually Syria.

Sadly
we here, who aren't being bombed and killed spend more time debating 'fault' and very little time debating how to move forward and to try to find solutions to these issues.

How can we move forward when people won't admit what's happening is wrong?
The_White_Horse has just said its a neccesscity that innocent people die. How on earth is that right? How can you possibly move forward with eejits thinking that?
The fact both our PM and Obama came out and "condemned" the bus bomb - where no-one was killed, yet haven't said anything about the 13 year old boy who was killed at the library!
I fully understand the 'termination' of terrorists. However I do not stand by the actions where innocent civilians are being killed to do so.0 -

we didn't wait until everyone admitted that what was happening in Northern Ireland was wrong ... indeed they still haven't.
However, in my view the situation has moved on and is massively better 20 years ago.0
