    The registered driver, is trusting me in ignoring the letters so we will not be contacting Euro unless official documents from a court are received.

    Haha everything I've learnt is from reading the many cases on this site - its great stuff, I almost paid the company until I decided to make sure its from an official body and they seemed very sketchy!

    Its good to read up on this, you will find that Euro and others are just scammers trying to rip you off, we always are happy to help, providing you pass the message on, that is the only payment we ask for unlike the parking companies who wants your hard earned.
    Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
    They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
    Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

    My first fake PCN was from Euro Car Parks in a Supermarket car park and I laughed so much at it the fake ticket made my sides hurt. Was so pleased to get one as I already knew about the scam of private fake PCNs! Got another one this year.:rotfl:

    Anyway I got the letters as shown in the fifth from top thread (PPC letter chains) so check those out. Look at the OLD letters - pre October - for the most pictures and I don't expect they will have changed their threatograms much. Also if you get a letter from a different debt collector to the one shown under Euro on that thread, just look at the other PPCs and find 'your' debt collector as we've seen them all and they are all posted there under one PPC or another.

    I still carry my debt collector letters from the first PCN in my handbag to show people I know that it's all just a junk mail scam. Almost nobody gets phone calls by the way and a Small Claim by Euro has only been heard of once and they were stuffed and 'kicked into the middle of next week' and my old Nan used to say! That case was only attempted for the first time because they thought it was worth it for the money in that case. It wasn't, fingers well and truly burnt, Euro!!!
    PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • I would use it as toilet paper but I don't want to make my bottom more dirty!

    I'll keep everyone posted, if I receive anything unusual that's not already been posted - although I don't expect much since it seems Euro car parks have a chain letter for every occasion!
  • Finally on to the debt collector part of the chain.

    They refer to this page;

    legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2012/9/schedule/4/enacted

    Is this more of their scare mongering tactics?

    Here is a copy of the letter;

    I think it makes no difference, but seeking further reassurance will not go amiss!

    (I cannot post links due to account restrictions but should still be workable)

    Usual twaddle from DRP however I see they say they will hand it to the landowners solicitor to instigate county court proceedings! Yea right I can see Morrison's doing that can you? :cool:

    Yes morrisons is going to commit commercial suicide by taking their customers to court, because of a speculative invoice from a contractor infesting a car park.

    This will never go beyond these idiots and Zenith who are the same company, just a waste of paper and ink
    When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
    We don't need the following to help you.
    Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

  • They did say "may" ;)

    Although this letter did seem to be slightly altered from the posted chain letters of each PPC. There was another one where they linked to the change in law on the gov site (from October 2012) but I know it does not necessarily change anything but it goes to show they will try anything!
  • I am also currently ignoring a "fine" from them. I am on letter number 2 and although I fully intend to ignore them I am slightly nervous by the wording in the letter. Has anyone had any action taken against them? Also how many letters etc should I expect? Thanks!

    No they haven't as the letters are designed to frighten
    For everthing else there's mastercard.
