Can i just add to the mix, i received an original "apology" email and was very grateful for the added funds to my advantage card, especially as i hadnt noticed the wem anyway... however... this morning ive also received another wem lol... ???

Maybe you're the real winner this time then???:T
If you are then there's gonna be a lot of jealous people out for you

As far as us all being "vulnerable females", ok I admit to being female, but why does it make me vulnerable just cos I enter comps? I could go to Barcelona tomorrow if I wanted but I'd rather win a trip cos it's more fun! I think some people need to get over themselves just a tad...

I didn't receive the original WEM but got one today, wonder how many more did. Was hoping it meant I had won the second draw as I entere the original comp, not looking like it seeing as you got one too lol. Never mind xx
  • I do feel sorry for people who may have gone out and spent way more than the ten pounds in vouchers celebrating their win .It does not really matter if the second email cam an hour later because once the first one arrived, the second email my not have been seen for quite some time after .

Mistakes happen but we should pay for them and this 10 pound of reward is a joke as boots will profit out of this and people should not be rewarded for their mistakes .Well unless they are bankers lol .I did not enter any competition but wanted to add my view as so many sheeple are going over the top with Boots brown nosing .

well done boots you played a blinder here free advertising and all the extra foot traffic through your stores .Your head of marketing should be given a bonus.I imagine some of the posts here are actually Boots management, lets start the sentiment and the sheep will follow and seems to have worked.

I am in the mood for a holiday now, so I think I will do some web surfing and see what takes my fancy .

I do not see it that way .They sell gods to make a profit so they wont actually loose 90k and many people will spend more thna £10 points worth of points on impulse purchases and itmes over £10. Also this is very cheap advertising .yes mistakes do happen and this may have been a genuine mistake but I know how the world works and this truly may not have been a mistake and if it has been it certainly wont be costing them 90k . the cynic in me tells me they will make out of it .

You are correct Brian, 1000 Advantage points costs Boots around £3.

Has anyone got a solicitor yet?
I am going to take them to court because i felt like i had wasted a few hours yesterday making other people jealous that they had not won and i had..If only they had not sent that later email i could of rubbed it in to my friends..
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
  • I got the email too, yes its disappointing... so what. I never think I am guaranteed to get a win unless I get it confirmed with an actual telephone call or personal written email from a company.

I'm happy to get £10 worth of points, it is better than what I had before.

Boots made a mistake. People need to get over it and move on.
  • I totally agree with getting over it etc...but I don't think I'm getting the advantage points. Anyone else not heard anything about them? :(
  • I think they have 9000 people to get through so you will get them at some point.

I hope no-one will be so bitter. I for one will be very happy for whoever wins the comps (both the original and the new one) and hope it's someone from MSE. I love hearing about other people winning! :j

Yeah probably :) I just assumed it would be a generic multi-email again!
