Just an update here is the 2nd email i recieved in regards to my locked account. Please DO NOT reply to this email as it is from an unmonitored outgoing email address.
We recently sent you an email in response to the difficulty you reported getting into your Universal Jobmatch account.
In that email we provided information to help you get back into your account and told you that we would contact you again telling you what to do next if you were still experiencing difficulties.
If you have now got back into your account using the information in our last email, or because you remembered your details, you can ignore this email. However, please read the section marked VERY IMPORTANT at the foot of this email.
You told us you had set up a Universal Jobmatch account using the email address that we have used to send you this information.
You told us you could not get back into it because you had lost some or all of the details.
We have now run a process that has closed that account and you will not receive email alerts from it if these were set up.
This process will allow you to create a new account on Universal Jobmatch using the email address which we used to send you this email.
If you do wish to set up a new account using this email address you should 'Register' again with Universal Jobmatch. To do this either:
Go to the middle of the 'Find A Job With Universal Jobmatch' page under the 'SEARCH' button and select 'Register with Universal Jobmatch',
or,
select 'Register' at the top right of the Universal Jobmatch Jobs screens
and follow the instructions.
VERY IMPORTANT
When you set up your account it is important that you look for the verification email from gateway.confirmation@gateway.gov.uk in your email account (check your spam folders too) and take the option to verify your email.
This will allow you to recover your user id or reset your password in the future.

Do not reply to this e-mail unless you are directed to do so as we will not be able to respond.
If you are having problems and are able to get into your account you should Login to your account and use the Contact Us link at the bottom of your account screen.
If you are having problems and are not able to get into your account you should use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the search results screen.
We will never ask you for your password or National Insurance Number in an e-mail.

I am hearing about a lot of issues with jobmatch - we have seen a huge number of people sanctioned since its introduction, common reason it that they are not doing enough job searching. We are also finding users being unable to log in and others logging in and not being able to use it as am 'error' message comes up asking them to log in -even though they are logged in. We have also found a security bug - once logged in and send a message to dwp through their 'contact' facility, instead of replying to the person logged in - its can reply to another email address, how it is picking another's email address up I do not know - but all very worrying!!! We have, of course notified dwp of this.0

So HOW illegal is it to post this, or for the site to display it? WOW!
The way to use the GG website, is to join up, then cancel membership, so it shows that you are a member, but unable to login, view the site as per; then the website advertised, copy/paste the second part of it into Google, as that is usually the companies name, search on that site for the person in the email, usually in the HR department, plus you get the added benefits of learning about the company.
Most jobs posted on the GG website relate to agencies; there is no point re-applying to them, because they already have your details.
A side effect of joining, then cancelling, is that there is no way that I can see from them sending out spam emails every few weeks, but just label it as junk mail, but some still come through.
That way, you are on the system, you can look at it, just bypassing their bizarre open source, privacy blitzing weird website.
If you read their T&C's, they are properly illegal, so someone with money needs to challenge them in court; ie - from memory - 'We have the right to install cookies on your computer, to monitor all web access', I think not.0 -
Is universal jobmatch mandatory now? If you do not allow jobcentre access to it can they sanction you?0
-
But the jobcentre could threaten to sanction jobseekers for not allowing them access.0
-
My advisor asked me to join when I signed on recently - has never mentioned it again.
It's best to show then the scam jobs and the scraped jobs that don't exist and they should leave you alone as long as you can show you are job searching fully elsewhere. In fact, it is a little odd that at face value they are almost requesting that you only use the site and not any other methods.0 -

No No No, the jobcentre cannot threaton to sanction you for denying them access to your account. It would be illegal for them to try.
Stand up for yourself you are in the right.
