Asked also if I was going to get a letter etc to confirm this in writing, but the adviser didn't have a clue.0 -
This is confusing. I signed on on Monday and they were using a new UJM system on their PC's and she asked me for my email address, which she was using on the system to verify if I had registered for UJM. So they dont need account details to check you have registered, just your email.
Anyway, crappy system says I dont have an account, so I got an accusing 'you havent registered' look from the old bint. I have registered, the email I gave them is the address I used to register, but the wonderful system says I havent.
Maybe its a con to get me to give them my account details so they can confirm, I wont give them it, Ill show them a print out of the confirmation email I got when I registered.0 -

That wont work, my WP provider told me on Friday that JCP's are going to be running group sessions to teach you how to use the site, should you say 'I cant use a pc'.0 -

Not sure WP customers would have to attend those sessions, though, as WP providers are funded to do everything except signing for customers.Fokking Fokk!0 -

I was told that when I signed as well and I heard the person next to me being told that too so it definitely looks like it is being made mandatory.
I also heard the person next to me say he didn't have a computer and the advisor said he should go to his nearest library every day. Now bearing in mind our council has closed a lot of them his nearest one was 3 miles away which he tried and failed to explain.
The advisor told him he must go to that library to use UJ or possibly face sanctions. How he's meant to cover a weeks worth of bus fare to do those library trips on a paltry income of £56 a week is beyond me.0 -

That's interesting Gaz...did you tick the box when registering that gives the Jobcentre access to your account? If you did was that because the Jobcentre insisted that you must?0 -

Why would he incur bus fares? It's three miles, he'd be expected to walk there and back (and would presumably be able to include this time in his total hours the Jobcentre demands).0 -

You'd probably be put on the course again and if you 'failed' you'd be sanctioned for putting barriers in the way of your job search (i.e. not complying with the conditions of your JSAg).0
