That is impossible as you can not spend all day at the provider.
They have no facilities for that. I bet the JC do not know this however.0 -

donnajunkie wrote: »there was a small news story about uc in the mirror today. it said in your new agreement you must agree with an adviser what tasks you will do each day and if you dont do them you risk a sanction. so really it seems like its just a change from the current weekly tasks to a daily version. i will just ask them straight out. whats the minimum required? i will then say ok put that. never agree to anymore than the minimum even if you do do more. if you agreed to loads and then had a week where you were ill or had a bereavement you would be stuffed as you may not manage to do everything in times like that.
2 a week across the board per week.
apply for 2 jobs a week.
phone 2 employers per week.
write letters to 2 per week
ask family and friends etc
look in the following papers/magazines with the names of them
and goto certain job sites per week and search.
sign up with job agencies, then contact them regularly.
In responce to AP007 about CV's i did a work program oh this is a funny true story, its all i went there for. ready for the punch line.
NO computers, NO typrwriters, no PENS AND PAPER, infact they didnt even have a place of business either, due to it just starting up.
we where literally above a coffee shop in a room lent to them and we just sat there talking for 30minutes before even said thats it.
We had to wait to find out where we would be the next time. NO ONE was contacted.
Then there was a work programs that decided it was a good idea to move from one building to a new building just before christmas.
Anyone remember commerical road, opposite the train station, 2nd floor to fratton road next to asda's, 3rd floor.
When we all arrived after christmas, no computers at all, a load of tables but no CHAIRS to sit on, oh a 1 newspaper between 30 of us.
Good thing about that course was it was only 2hrs a week and we could choose whether to do 2hrs in 1 day or 1hr over 2days.
it was a total cabuckle, 3months it took for them to sort it all out, which they did just as my time with them finished.
Oh just to point something out. According to my advisor the benefits we the unemployed get isn't for living on, unlike the letter we get which on page 2 says up the top, The amount the law states you need to live on £then a number. Its to be used for getting back to work. aka Stamps, printing of CV, photocopies, any tests you need to take like the CSCS one if you've already done the test the previous year and this year you have to pay for it.
I asked Andy brown about that CSCS card and i said I heard to cost £60 if you've already had it through the jobcentre and are required to get a new one. he replied its NOT £60, its £20 for the test and £40 for the card. erm 20+40 = 60 or am i wrong. why split it, its like saying that to pass your driving test I dont know as it was £27 when i did mine, but now its a written test and driving test someone says its £80, and another one says NO its 40 for written and 40 was driving. so its 80 total. after all you cant driving without doing and passing both. so its not like you can decide your only going to pay half.0 -

all of what you listed cant be proven really. so it will just be recorded on a sheet like now. they cant really expand on what they do with people now because it would mean spending more time with people and recruiting alot more staff. they are not going to do that. they may be stupid enough to attempt to at first.0 -

Who does anything to the same daily timetable, when other things crop-up all the time.
It's an exercise in pointless bureaucracy.
They probably want to manage this electronically on the web, but they can't access people's job accounts or applications, so will have to take people's word for it on what they did on their own dedicated electronic form.0 -
And who's going to check any of that.

Has it not occurred to you that they just need to call/email a company to ask how your job application is progressing? If you don't provide a detailed job search, when it gets sent to the decision section, the chances are your benefit will get suspended.Fokking Fokk!0 -
